Even if Shergar had fractured his leg, they should have let him out and drove off. He would have been found. I don't believe that story, though. They wanted to cover their tracks. Disgrace!

Was he kidnaped to be used as a building block for future irish champion horses and trainers..How easy was it to change an horses identity in the 80s..

No, it was a straight ransom job, but the two fuckwits that were supposed to look after him hadn't a clue how to deal with a thoroughbred racehorse, the poor animal was dead within a couple of hours of the theft.

Shergar was not killed and was running point to point races in Ireland under the identity of another horse in 1987 and was stabled just outside of Swords in North County Dublin.The whole story is bs.

@@tadhgobrien7786the Garda Commissioner and the Minister for Justice has that information, perhaps you should ask them and also why no arrests made on those responsible for the murders in Ireland's Vanishing Triangle and the senior Gardai and UK intelligence who misdirected the investigations and why no arrests have been made and why the GOI has participated in the terror campaign with an unprecedented lengthy and inhumane attack in violation of the UN's guaranteed Human Rights against torture and it's smear campaign and murder attempts on the person who provided the correct intelligence against the family who provided the known false intelligence that is used to 'legitimize' the torture.Situtation is FUBAR.

80 thou a session a lot of money - esp. considering a stud can do his thing at least 100 times a year for 20 years, conservatively. What was he insured for and was the monetary difference that huge to take a chance at being incarcerated for many years? I doubt it, but it's possible. Alydar was killed in the states for insurance, but circumstances were completely different.

@@bishlap He was syndicated and the syndicate refused to pay the ransom or else they were setting up to have horses kidnapped more often
