There are many similar stories and it makes people in America wonder how the Chinese government could have such strict policies about how many children can be born. However, they can learn the reasons behind this policy and perhaps not be critical of it. I know that here in Vietnam they also have a similar policy, but it's a two child policy and is not as strict as China's policy. Even with the heart wrenching stories as this one certainly is, I still agree with China's policies. I think that China is leading humanity into the future, but could use western consultants if not just to consider adjusting some policies to be more humane and less autocratic. US policies have seen similar harshness, but are either ignored or glossed over depending on which side of the political fence one is poised. I wish peace and cooperation between countries instead of antagonism and unbending views. Government control should rest in the hands of a committee that truly represents the people of that nation and not in the hands of a power hungry old man.
