Seriously. What genius direction and screen-writing, acting and PACING, etc. This scene may just gloss over as a part of the movie, but from start to finish, it was a masterpiece of film making. To be quite honest, the entire movie was golden. My only gripe was the second movie introducing Moriarty as the straight up in-the-face problem and then even putting end to him so quickly. That should not have happened. There are so many stories to work with and they could have been mixed together to create a legendary tale as well-noted as the Marvel movies. Where Pirates of the Caribbean strung the 4th and 5th movies with no relationship, and the 1st itself was just an intro, Sherlock Holmes could have been a well-tied series.

I love this scene. Especially the dialogues in French. My first language is French, so it's reaaaaaaally funny for me to listen french in and English-language movie.

Saw that guy in a Walmart in Moncton NB Canada. He was really nice and was signing autographs while shopping with his family. He's huge.

Whats crazy is how polite Dredger is. A 7ft man trying to kill you, yet will give you a second to collect yourself for a fighting chance. Only Fezzik from Princess Bride is just as polite.
