You can tell the *exact* moment Sherlock’s brain went from “What did they do?” to “How can I make this hurt as much as possible?”

I love how in Sherlock's imagination of how Mrs.Hudson was taken, she screams out his name. It shows how he thinks of himself as everyone elses' knight in shining armour.

You can’t hurt Mrs. Hudson and expect to leave Baker St. in anything less than an ambulance. He’s lucky it wasn’t a coroner’s wagon.

I love the note Sherlock leaves on the door, "crime in progress, please disturb" and John's look when he reads it.

I like that Lestrade knows what Sherlock did, and doesn't care.

1:07 I love how after seeing the blood on Agent America’s ring, instead of deducing the details of his life story (like we so often see) Sherlock instead figures out how he can bring that story to an end.

I love that moment when John is taking her out of the room, he pauses, asks Sherlock a question, and then looks at the man like “you deserve everything he’s about to do to you”.

Honestly one of favorite scenes, not because of what happens to Mrs. Hudson or anything. But because it's one of the few time Sherlock actually shows some emotion, and shows that he really does care about some people

*Fan Theory*: Mrs Hudson's husband was abusive which is why John and Sherlock are so damn protective of her, when Mycroft tells her to shut up, they both react immediately and the second guy, he nearly beats him to death.

When Sherlock looks up when he’s at the bottom of the stairs, you can see a rage settling in his eyes, even though Blendaflarp Crumblesnitch doesn’t change his expression/body. Magnificent acting!

The look of pure rage he gets when he realises what happened is amazing!

I love how his immediate reaction isn't "what do I know about this man?" It's "how do I break him?"

I love how he uses that fear that people have of his intelligence to his advantage even though hes in the disadvantage

One of my favorite scenes of the series. "Ms. Hudson leave Baker Street... England would fall!" LOVE IT!!!

This will forever be one of my favorite scenes. This is the first time in the series we see Sherlock get truly, truly angry. He knows how badass Mrs. Hudson actually is, and yet the way his face looks when he's able to deduce exactly what happened to her shows how much he truly cares for her, despite what he'll say or do to make it look like he doesn't. He immediately runs to her to console her at his most open opportunity. He doesn't call Lestrade or John right away, because he wants to handle the guy first. It's just one of those scenes that will forever make me happy no matter how many times I watch it. The first time i watched it, when Sherlock's face contorted into that pure rage, I got absolute chills. Benedict Cumberbatch delivers a truly powerful performance through this entire series and everything else he does. But we're not talking about his other work right now, sadly. I'll save that for another video.

Sherlock really cares for the safety of others. He just does it in a rather peculiar way.

I love the small smile that Watson has at 3:00. When he looks at the American, its the face of "Someones going to get hurt, and it's not sherlock".

This whole scene is a masterclass in acting. Cumberbatch goes from his usual detachedness and slowly builds up to utter fury in a way that's believable, natural, and (given the way the character's been built thus far in the show) completely terrifying.

The look on John's face when he leaves Sherlock alone with the intruder - 3:03 - like he enjoys the idea of whatever it is Sherlock is about to do to him

I find it quite amusing that he contacted Lestrade before throwing the man out of the window. Not only was he doing it because of his outright emotional state from the situation, he also wanted the man to know what was going to happen to him for messing with Mrs. Hudson.

When he replied to Lestrade, I got pure Snape vibes...holy crap...

I would like to point out that, great though his powers of deduction are, there is no way he could know whether Mrs. Hudson called out for him as she was being dragged up the stairs. That he imagined her doing so is, I think, testament to what book-Watson termed "the depth of loyalty and love that lay behind that cold mask." Much as he affects detachment, he feels responsible for those around him.

I like how Sherlock sees the injury on Mrs Hudson, puts two and two together, and *immediately* begins identifying the agent's vital points and weak spots. Don't screw with Mrs Hudson, Sherlock will end you.

What I love about Bennie is the subtlety he brings to his roles and this is a perfect example of that. You can slowly see the rage start to bubble to the surface even though his face isn't changing. One of the very few people Sherlock cares about was hurt and he ain't about to let that shit slide. One of Bennie's best scenes on the show and that's saying a lot.

Everyone loves Benedict for his role as Dr. Strange. I love him for this role and mostly this scene. The anger in his eyes when he realizes what's happened is hot and scary at the same time.

Lestrade -knows- what really happened. I bet Sherlock thinks he's stupid but I'm sure Lestrade figured out it was John who shot the cab driver in the first episode, but he lets the two troublemakers get away with these sort of things and I love it.

The look on his face when he knows something bad has happened to mrs. Hudson. Some people panic, some people fly into an ineffective rage. Then, there are those who control and focus their anger. Don’t still be there when they arrive.

0:22 it's was at this moment that the audience knew shit was gonna go down

- shows cut cheek - shows blood on ring - immediately considers enemy's vital organs and weak points We have hours of this program from which to judge, and all source material and everything that came before, and I think we'd all conclude that Sherlock rarely got it right when it came to dealing with those close to him (and also those trying to frame the character himself). But in everything from the archive, this right here is him at one of his most subtly human moments. This and the moment in the RDJ movies where he smells Irene Adler's kerchief before tossing it off the ferry are two of the times that struck me deepest.

That's the thing with emotionally detached people, you can watch a thousand strangers die and think well that's to bad and move on but mess with "their" people and all hell breaks loose.

I love how he just fell for it so easily and Sherlock just rolls his eyes at his stupidity 😂
