I too had a misunderstanding of Sherri's whole baby and custody situation. What I will say is this: I have ti respect the decisions that she has made. I too share the same religious background as she. I know that she was taught through the Scriptures that she should be subjected to her marriage and her husband. But she made HER chioce. Not to be used in any way. She has grown so much. She does what is right for her! She know exactly what she is doing and what her life means to her. She is not judgemental and has no regrets. Don’t allow someone to convince or guilt you into making a major life decision…that you are not ready or wanting to make. It will only birth resentment toward that person. It should be YOUR decision. You may decide to accommodate them for a reason or no reason at all….and there is nothing wrong with that decision. If what they want you do, is not a good fit for you…and you say No….there is nothing wrong with that decision either. You need to have that difficult conversation…how do you proceed from there. This word of wisdom is not gender specific. Marriage, kids, jobs, relocations, etc. Compromise should NOT enter the equation for a major life change contrary to popular belief. Compromise is for dinner, movies, what to watch on tv. Compromise means a concession. You shouldn’t have to make a concession that you don’t want period. If you decide to any life change, let it be because you WANT to do it. Therefore compromise doesnt enter the picture.

She needs to admit that she wanted the baby at first, but when the marriage went sour, she wanted nothing to do with the baby, which is terrible.

When Joy and Whoopi, didn't go to Sherri's wedding because they had bad vibes about him, I knew he wasn't a keeper. He lied that he had a job, expected to be a stay at home dad, have a nanny, have his son go to private school, he chose the surrogate and the donor eggs...The courts held her financially responsible and that is her only responsibility. He still doesn't work and she is financially responsible for 18 years. Thank goodness she wasn't forced to be anymore involved in that man's shenanigans. He needs to find a job, wife and stepmother for his son before the child support payments end.
