i love your accent, i don't need the subtittle because the accent sounds clear, and yeah i agree with you, watch an english video (movie, show, etc) with eng-sub will improve your listening and speaking

Writing is totaly different than speaking. When you start speaking there's no time to think about the grammar structure or anything else. me my self always practice alone in front of a mirror to speak without any hmm, think the grammar, etc. and I think having partner to practice your English is very necessary guys. You think what I think, don't you?

Couldn’t agree more. Productive skills such as Speaking and Writing are challenging indeed, specifically the speaking skill. It’s very spontaneous and we need to practice a lot.

Hi Naila big thank for all your efforts to make all these awesome videos... Well, having a little ability to communicate in english had saved my life at least twice. I'm just a high school graduate, i didn't go to college coz i couldn't afford it back then. And i had spent most of my life in a very small town. I moved to Jakarta 6 years ago with very little money in my pocket and for four years i was so struggle, i took so many hard laboured jobs like working at rumah makan padang, warteg, tukang sate, tukang bakso, etc. It was so tough and the salary totally insufficient just to get by. My self esteem was so low that i was thinking i was too old and lack of what it takes to work in a better place. I did all those jobs until i was 42 years old. But thank God now I'm working for a tech company, it's been two years and my boss is an american citizen. It's not a fancy job nor high salary but i still think it's a miracle for me to be here. I'm the only employee who's way too old to work there, not to mention my lack of education. But my boss, he treats me just the same way, the way he treats everybody. He gives me the chances to grow and learn new skills. Yes Naila you were right, it's not about the chance you had or you had not. It's about the will to keep learning, for english language in particular. Because for me, even tho i was born and raised and spent most of my life in a small town where nobody barely speaks english, it didn't stop me from learning. Now I'm 45 and yet the way i see life had totally changed. Now I'm more confident that with my english capabilty, i'll be just fine. I'm not super fluent nor super good at it, but by keep learning I'm sure i'll keep improving 🙂

I just found this channel, and you're awesome!! Ok I subscribe it. Anyway, Im not that fluent in english, but I wanna share something from my experience in learning english. In back day, I like to speak english when I talked alone. Then, I meet a girl that attracted me a little bit. I sent a message to her in english, and she replied back in english too. Our english are not so good anyway, we laughed about it, but we still keep doing it again and again wherever we sent a message to each other, until now, she become my wife, we are still messaging in english. I think it helps us a lot. :D

When i graduated from college, i didn't know what the grammar is, oh my gosh what a shame. Until about a year ago, i started learning English seriously. I started surrounding myself with English. I'm glad i did, now i really feel that improvement even still have to work hard to get that fluency. Hopefully i can achieve that fluency in the near future. :)

I went through the same frustration like you're going through right now. Just keep trying even you feel uncomfortable, embrace it. Talking to yourself and talking to someone else are totally different things. If you want to be good at it, you gotta practice a lot. That's what i did to kind of push my boundaries.

I agree with everything. Basically, combine your hobby or something you like and use it to learn English. I did it with video games since I grew up with them and consume them daily and I had a hard time understanding the story or even something as simple as buttons. So, it pushed me to learn English or I can't enjoy the game at all. I also don't have the privilege to be surrounded by English speaking environment, so to this day I always (yes, always) consume everything in English. If I watch a movie I use English subs (sometimes I don't use any subtitle to enhance my listening since it is the part that I'm lacking atm), If I read something be it a book, a blog always read them in English. And if I encounter a difficult word or some foreign word. I just open google translate and problem solved. Thanks for the video Naila :D

ive never took an english course for real. so how come i know how to speak in english? well i was raised by hearing endless love memories, michael learns to rock, abba, sweet love memories, fire house, white lion, hoobastank, etc. and im not just enjoying the music, i tried to know the lyrics by hearing it repeatedly and wrote it down on a slice of paper. and not just that, i read dictionary a lot. i watch english movies, mostly with no subtitle on to improve my skill. i made friends overseas. untill now i still learn to improve my skills, whenever i heard new words, i directly grab my dictionary and search the words. well just never stop learning :) and thanks by the way! subscribed!

Having a suitable exposure is truly crucial in learning a language. One of the challenges in Indonesia is that exposure of English has been becoming more and more limited, specifically for those who do not have the same opportunities as we are in term of education, access of information etc.

I am not good at English but I'd say my English get improved every single day. I've tried the best way; started to memorise some words every single day, watch a movie with the English subtitle even read lots of the English books. If I found the sentence/clause in the movie or book is a bit confusing, I will note that and I try to use it on my daily communication. Yeah, I keep practising every single day!. Anyways, thanks for sharing Kak Naila :).

KZfaq recommends this video on my list, and I realize that the key to get a certain level of fluency in English is surround yourself with English content. I’ve been working hard with my English for some time, and still couldn’t get the fluency like her, but I believed most of you understand every single word she said but get difficult to talk like her. LOL
