Loved this clip. Was funny that people were trying to give Shiyi money. Loved how she dealt with Wen. I think this is when the Marquis really started to appreciate Shiyi and realized she was a lot different than his first wife. Glad she got reimbursed for taking care of the moldy rice incident using her own dowry.

Marquis has finally found woman who holds similar standards as himself in Shiyi. His piqued of emotions and interests grows bigger everyday while he is around and gets to get know Shiyi who has continually proves she is different and better from all of Xu family's other women. He is definitely more of protector , loyal , respectful supportive towards Shiyi over everyone else including his own Grand Madame. 🙂😘🥰

Wen's first mistake is believing that Shiyi is like Yuanniang. She really thinks she can bribe her with money just because she lived in destitute. Shiyi has integrity which is something that Wen wouldn't know anything about...I love how she tries to increase the amount when Shiyi doesn't respond the way she thought she would... When Shiyi asked her if she discussed it with Lingyi...that should've been the first clue that Shiyi doesn't operate like Yuanniang. She doesn't care about money so Wen is barking up the wrong tree. For the first time the Xu family is being managed correctly. Wen is so stupid. Her sister in law just told her that she doesn't care about her situation which means she doesn't care about her. If Wen isn't benefiting her family they don't care about her...but she's willing to harm the Xu family for them. She needs her head examined. Lingyi is too sweet. He's trying to find a tea that Shiyi would like...the man is in love with his wife. He knows concubine Wen. He knew that the Wen family would approach Shiyi now that she's running the household. He still can't believe how different Shiyi is from Yuanniang. I don't think he knows that Shiyi wasn't raised in the Luo household. He assumed that she would be just like her big sister because they come from the same family. However, Shiyi's experience is vastly different from the way Yuanniang was raised. He's getting to know his wife's character even more. How could he not fall in love with her?

The one thing that made me realise that Concubine Wen would last long in this show and probably be a bigger danger than the other concubines was how reflective and controlled she was. She reflected her conversation with Shiyi and also reflected how she is doing this for self-gain but for her son’s future. Despite Concubine Qiao coming from a prominent family, Concubine Wen has key advantages. She has a child (a son which is even better), and how she is able to control herself. The servant giving the cup (of tea I assume) shows the difference - Qiao would hit it out of her hands of anger, but Wen controls herself and turns out in frustration. She has more class.

esta certíssima em não aceitar pois presentes são algemas uma vez aceito prende vc a pessoa que lhe deu ( conheço alguém que aceitou um colar e quase acabou com fama de ladra) por isso nunca aceitei presente de amigos ou parentes e quando é da minha família ficou como pé atrás e já mando essa esse presentinho vai me custar um rim ou meu coração
