A complation of master Shifu's best moments :D

Funnily enough, if you do this right, it actually works! It’s difficult to do it on purpose but when I just naturally walk quietly without trying or meaning to, it works almost all the Time. I do it all the time and people wonder how the heck I appear into and disappear from a room or place so quickly and silently without being seen or heard. I just reply with a whisper, “Stealth mode.” Or “Misdirection.” It’s SO funny when I do it behind one of my friends or family then speak or just wait for them to turn around and freak out and jump. It’s hilarious. Some even sometimes say, “Would you stop doing that?!” like Po says in the third movie to Shifu and it just makes me laugh even harder. Just make sure you know each other well enough to anticipate how they’ll react and don’t do it at night or somewhere spooky. I did that and my mom freaked out and reflexively punched, luckily, I reflexively blocked it, probably picked up from watching so many martial arts movies, so no harm done.

Yeah in the first movie Shifu was riddled with grief, regret and frustration from his failure of Tai lung. He refused to let his emotions through and risk having such a bond like he had with Tai lung but after the Ooways death and Po's talent/willingness to learn gave Shifu the push to no longer fear building connections with his students.

I like how Po immediately doesn't take Shifu seriously during the "worst day of my life" bit. He's not even insulted because he knows Shifu's messing with him. "You watched your son's heart get broken, were ordered to kill him, had him break your hip, watched him put into a coma and locked in a torture chamber, thought you were going to die at his hands, and then I killed him. One thing that took me way too long to work out is that Shifu is a red panda, but spends the first movie using the term "panda" like an insult against Po. I think this is supposed to be in part self reflective, Shifu is tough on himself for his own shortcomings, by learning to accept Po as the dragon warrior he also learns to accept himself, and thus achieve inner peace in the second movie.

I love the dramatic exit. Just how fast he speedwalks out of there and how Po is the ONLY ONE distracted. One part I love is how Oogway says "there are no accidents"just after Po is chosen and Po rips through the bottom on the litter as they try to carry him up to the Jade Palace, with Shifu holding his hand up to Oogway as if to say "You see?!!!"

I just love how simultaneously, Po’s relationship with Shifu can be mentor and student (formal), father and son, and then just bros. It really feels like it. Edit: I never realized how relatable the characters are, lmao.

I love the progression of Shifu in these movies. The first one he’s grumpy and serious because he has to train a nobody while his evil son is rapidly approaching, including that he’s in-part the reason his son is so evil. Then in the later movies he’s a lot more mellow due to his main internal conflict being over, especially in the 3rd movie due to him already having inner peace from the previous movies, and retiring from teaching.

Shifu has been my favorite since the start. He's precious no matter what mode is switched on, and nothing will beat the absolute giddy JOY he had training Po one on one. I'm so glad they didn't lazily write him out or kill him for the sequels.

Fun fact shifu means master in mandarin so his name is master master or 师傅师傅 however in Chinese there is a silent r sound in shi so it sound more like shi(r) .
