Well, they were made by the same person, and there are a lot of character with similar personalities and/or designs. Justice and Elsie have reversed roles from Erza and Jellal, and their personalities are more aggressive. Weisz has physical design inspiration from Musica and even more so Sting, but his personality draws more so from Musica. Jinn looks completely different from Rogue, but they are some of the most similar characters out of all of them. Even Shiki is somewhat different from Natsu, but I'd say the closest are Happy and Happy (they're still different, but I'm excluding Plue because technically Plue shows up in all three series at some point as the same character with a different role (he was the OG mascot from Rave)). Fairy Tail got pretty dark in the manga too. Especially around the Tartaros Arc. However I do agree that EZ is darker and quite a bit different. Edit: There is a character that shares a lot of physical similarities to Jinn (he's from Rave), but I don't know his character or his name. He seems interesting though, and I wanna read the rest of the series.

Actually he's voiced by Hochu Otsuka, the same guy who voices Jiraiya. Rayleigh is voiced by Keiichi Sonobe.

Shiki is the one who doesn't have friends so he try to bond with everyone people who read manga know the Eden zero has no power of friendship there's no suddenly power up and the story actually dark and there's actually character die in the manga for anime now it's still not in the arc yet
