I'm not the jealous type but the perilla-leaf issue is kinda awkward. I'll be irritated because, first of all, my friend is not disabled. They have hands and capable of peeling the leaves themselves. Why would my partner help them? If they ask for help, then it would be okay. I could help them myself or if I'm busy with my own food, I could ask my partner to do it for them.

JK and Tae were funny in this debate. However, a thought towards their instinctive responses. IF (big IF) they truly view situations like this from a possessive and controlling mindset, those are NOT good qualities to have a healthy relationship. In general, possessive and controlling behaviour is another form of abusive behaviour because in my view they spawn a continuous storyline of lack of trust and undermining a person's worth. If a significant other is always subjected to these types of behaviours (even if a JK/Tae are overly abundant in giving in other ways) that person may either (1) believe they're individuality in the relationship is insignificant, worthless as a person, and become a ghost partner which is terrible to change someone into a puppet (especially if you espouse "love yourself" ideals to others) or (2) they'll say Fk U and leave. So no one "wins" with those types of behaviours. Personally, imo, the healthiest response was from J-Hope: If there's trust between the partners in the relationship, why would this matter? And to extend J-Hope's view further, wouldn't your partner's active trait of selfless giving to assist another human be a characteristic that you admire? Also, I loved Yoongi's responses - if a grown ass adult (who is NOT physically disabled) can't even eat without assistance, then they don't deserve the food. However, I will also say this: this type of scenario is an opportunity for the female partner to act in a manner that respects the relationship. What do I mean? Why is the friend asking for help from the female who's in a partnership if they are not disabled? Why are they not asking their own male friend - since they need the help that much? It's a question for the female partner to ask in her mind - what's the motivation here? Is it to stir up sh%t between me and my partner? and if so, why should I act to help them achieve what they want? But her male partner should trust her enough to deduce the situation and make the right decision for herself and even if she chooses to help, to view it as an innocent benevolent act since it's not a repeated scenario. Personally, if my male partner started the whole accusatory/possessive BS of "why did you help my friend with his food?" I would tell him to go fix his brain before talking to me again -- and leave them both at the restaurant.

No clue what those leaves are, but don't care if I have a significant other that helps out a friend with them. If there is some sort of culture thing that says you will officially be married upon the peeling of the leaves of your friends food, then I would hope he doesn't want to, would seem pointless for him to be dating me then. Personally I think they probably just watch too many K Dramas. I also stay away from guys like that, no into controlling guys, and I dont want to be in any sort of relationship that has those sort of trust issues, it may be okay for some girls, but just not for me. I think the MBTI is a good way to understand how people view the world differently and how to understand a person that thinks differently than you. Knowing this can help improve your relationship with others and create better environments, such as at work, school, committees or anything that involves a group of people.
