You know ever since a kind army pointed out Joon and the young woman are wearing modern Hanbok at the end, I can’t get it out of my head the idea maybe those two represent two sides of Namjoon, the masculine and feminine at first glance. But not portrayed like polar opposites as often seen, but similar in appearance with similar tastes. Yet still recognizably unique. We have to keep coming back, searching for parts of ourselves, or aspects of our lives, we don’t always pay attention to. I felt like in the MV, he has different options in life, all fitting in particular boxes. Like it's expected from you to follow a certain lifestyle. But he doesn't feel happy anywhere. And doesn't feel like he fits in anywhere. Until he realizes, he doesn't need to meet up to those expectations, but any lifestyle will be fine, there's no need to fit in..... and that makes that he can enjoy any of the possibilities, and feels happy again, in any situation. He's been telling his story, how much he wants and has to say, how he's always unsure if he should, if he can, he's trying to love himself for a long time, to accept himself as a person, as a growing artist, as a legend, accepting the weight of the crown, all the expectations till today (with silly boycotters using his words for clout and performative validation)... For me the MV talks about that: all the different lives he can or could live being Kim Namjoon and RM (being with friends at a party, having a wife and daughter, having just a girlfriend, being baby-ed by people in his surroundings and some that consider themselves ARMY and treat 30yo people like 5yo or worse and when the baby doesn't react they leave). He's unhappy in all those situations because he feels he's incomplete, he's just going through the motions, not making any decision. There comes that woman: his inspiration, his love for creation, his muse and EVEN could be ARMY as they walk the path together and she shows him he can be himself (he thanked us previously for that and said he was confident he could do whatever he wanted bc he trusts us). He now can chill at the party, can consider having a married life (he said he abandoned the idea a couple years back after a PtD concert), can be happy with a girlfriend too (sorry I cannot disclose any other info about this *cough*cough*), and even accept some babying when it comes from a place of concern or love (not possessive or selfish: if you don't do this, I won't look at you). In the end, he leaves all these sets behind, to go in a non default path (he talks about this in Yun too and Wildflower), he goes with his passion, inspiration, muse or even with ARMY, together. :) Let's explore what's not set/expected from us ^^ PS. "I see you come back to me" = my love for music/creation "Spring's always been here, I will sleep in her eyes" = the moment I thaw away my winter (in creation terms, he was hibernating, but knew Sparing would come, as always ^^), and he sees creation/inspiration eye to eye
