You think it’d be a good drop shot rod too? I’m torn between the expride b 610ml and the st croix ltb 610ml. I’m looking for an all purpose finesse spinning rod. I fish for a lot of river small mouth but occasionally fish largemouth in the lakes

I plan to get the 7’2ml for a drop shot rod. The 6’10” would work but most people like a little bit longer rod for drop shot

The expride with the vanford is a crazy light combo and has been really sensitive but if you just fish for fun and don’t compete in tournaments or anything I’d almost say go bass x with a Shimano miravel. I love the bass x rods and have caught a lot of fish on them. I don’t have that particular model but I’d like to get one just to do a comparison. A decision you’ll have to make. You can buy 2 bass x rods and 2 miracles for the price of one expride vanford combo.

They didn’t have a 2500 in stock at my local tackle shop but I honestly kind of prefer the bigger handle.
