Shimano SLX 6’10” Medium review and comparison with Expride 6’10” Medium.
In this video we will share some of the differences and similarities between them but also if this could be a good budget friendly option to the Expride.
We have tried many SLX rods, this is the only one we can truly recommend.

This is the Shimano SLX A Casting rod in comparison with the Shimano Expride B casting rod.

Thanks for yhis review. I was looking for a replacement for my Googan Gold that snapped on a snag. Really like that rod but wanted to try something different.

I found that the SLX is AMAZING for its price point! Sensitivity is more than enough for the average angler. I like the expride for more subtle bites because of the almost electric sensitivity difference, which I wasn't able to discern years ago, but experience allows the expride to really come out on top! Just wait until you fish a poison glorious or a NRX+, It's even better!

Yes, would love to try an NRX+. Poison Glorious is not available in our marked..at least not yet. They are bringing more and more over here 👍🏻

@TackleCrew - I wish they'd release the Glorious here. The Ultima from what I hear is the same just slightly different taper. I don't own an NRX or PG, just the Adrena, but from what I hear, the others are even better! I like the handle on the Utima the best! I've got a whole lineup of Edge rods, and the Epitome rod is amazing! X-Ray blank and recoil guides. It's a MH but has a M+ top taper, fast tip, mod fast rod taper. It's more sensitive than the adrena and probably NRX range but a different feel from what I hear from a buddy who used it next to his NRX since sensitivity is subjective

I have the 1st gen of this rod and been using it with an SLX DC as by jerkbait rod for the past 3 seasons. I have been waffling on stepping up to an expride or Slasher by Alpha Angler. I just have a hard time pulling the trigger when this rod works. Thank you for doing a comparison of the two.
