Everything about this song embodies “Don’t give up, you’re a brave person with heart and ambition, you can fight anything that challenges your ideals as long as you believe in yourself” It sounds so powerful and motivating.

Yasunori Iwasaki must have been supercharged with Getter Rays when he was making this whole OST, because he peaked at this point. Sad to say but nothing he’s done since then (precisely speaking, post-Y2K) has reached the same heights. This is what his scoring career in the 90’s with all the mecha anime he did was leading up to.
