I miss music like this. Music with a soul. Music that was just the artist’s expression of talent, and an outpouring of their minds. The crap that is rap, pop, and everything else today literally makes me want to die. Music, like art, was never a money grab. It was a definition of humanity. It was talent. It was expression of real emotion. I wish I were alive to have experienced this period in music.
@MorganHallway

A lot of pop is crap but there's some good stuff out there but it's more hard rock. I miss actual music not whatever rap is supposed to be.
@nectarinedreams7208

"I wish I were alive to have experienced this period in music." Are you not alive and experiencing it right now, you clown? Pink Floyd especially are best experienced at home and in private, not in an arena or stadium. Also, your obsession with talent is a bit off. Talent has little to do with an "expression of real emotion." You don't have to be particularly talented to make great art. A lot of music from the 70s was god awful. In fact, most music from all periods of time is mediocre if just plain shit. There is an enormous amount incredible music from all genres being made as we speak. Quit whining on the internet and look for it.

Listening to this song on a quality hi-fi system is an extraordinary listening experience. Throughout the track, there are plenty of sonic subtleties, which only high-end sound systems manage to bring out. A friend of mine had a McIntosh system and Klipsch La Scala speakers. On this system, I was able to hear sounds that other systems just couldn't bring out. My Cambridge amp and Cerwin Vega speakers are fine with me, but they don't match the McIntosh/La Scala duo.

@@nectarinedreams7208 Have you ever heard the reverse echo effects on this track? From 4:06 until around 4:31, (and also around 13:52 for the drum), you can hear a reverse echo on keyboard notes, guitar notes and even Nick Mason's drum hits. Normally the echo follows the notes, but here it precedes the notes, which produces this very particular sound that you will certainly not find elsewhere, except with Pink Floyd.
