I’ve noticed you seem to be naturally drawn to onew. Something I feel so happy about. Because onew is very underrated sometimes, unless when he sings. He’s not someone who goes into the limelight much, he sends his members towards the limelight more. That’s his self sacrificing nature.

Fun fact: SHINee were actually blind during that part of their "Evil" performance. A backup dancer or staff member actually took the blindfold and held it up to a light in front of the camera once to show us that you can't see through it. SHINee are just that good, that they make it look like being blindfolded and dancing in sync is easy. :D

I've been a Shawol for the past 13 years and they are still constantly shocking me. Being blown away by SHINee's vocals is something you never get over. Because they are continually reinventing themselves, they are a group you never become jaded with. They will always impress you with everything they do, it's part of their design and who they are as artists. ;D That's why they are the idols of Idols and legends among legends. They even impress industry experts. No one does it like SHINee.

Genuinely, my best concert experience ever was seeing Woof Woof live. It was SO hype, most high energy moment of the whole thing. I went to the first night of the new tour and they performed it before the album/song had been released, so every time they pretended to leave we thought it was actually going to end... and then when they ran back the energy just went up and up.

I remember reading from one of the interviews back then, when Jonghyun composed and wrote lyrics to Odd Eye, he tailored the song so thoroughly to suit each member's voice. He knew the boys' habits, strong suits, their voices' different traits, and his understanding of all that went into the making of the song. And their voices do actually sound superb in the song I can't help but be reminded of Jonghyun's genius everytime I listen to it.

I know that I'm totally biased with JJONG but not only he is king of Vocals and had a great stage presence. He was such a talented songwriter. He composed ODD EYE , HE wrote the lyrics of View and Selene 6.23. His talent was beyond words. Please react to more of his solo 🙏

SHINee concerts are the best! They don't care about making a fool of themselves. You can tell they have a lot of fun.

"Selene 6.23 " is another one of the dozens of songs that was written by Jonghyun that has now become a song that the members often sing as a tribute to him. It's songs like this that demonstrates just how good Jonghyun was as a songwriter and why SHINee are some of the best in the industry when it comes to vocals. :D Selene means moon in Greek and 6.23 (2013) was when we had a supermoon, which means the moon was really close to the Earth that day, making it appear extra big and bright. The song has a lot of deep meaning. Jonghyun really loved the moon. He saw a lot of beauty and symbolism in the moon and often talked about the moon in interviews and conversations. Jonghyun said he wrote the song thinking about how the distance between the Moon and Earth was similar to the distance between SHINee and their fans all over the world. The alternate title of the song is "The Distance Between Us," which has now taken on even more meaning since his passing -- the distance between Jonghyun and fans are far apart and yet still closely connected. It was even said that the moon turned a pearl aqua color -- SHINee's fan color -- the day of Jonghyun's funeral. And fans took comfort in the fact that this meant that his spirit had made it to Heaven and that he was now at peace. honestly their choreo and dance and energy is SO off the charts but there's really something about ascending to another plane of existence when you listen to SHINee perform their ballads. god-tier.

Crazy Difficult and super High Notes: *Stranger -Tokyo Dome or Seoul live concerts *Dynamite - Seoul Version *Like A Fire - Seoul version *Breaking News - I STRONGLY suggest the SHINee World 2016 ' DxDxD' in Tokyo Dome. You can just skip the intro and go straight for the song it's the 1st song of the concert. You'll hear crazy high notes and it's truly sang LIVE. Ballads: *1000 years , Always by your side.(amazing harmonization) The live version where they sang at a stage outside. *Moon River *I'm with you *Love - Tokyo Dome version

Sleepless night always gives me goosebumps, it's so powerful and emotional. I feel every Shinee's ballad is like that and I love it.

"View" came out in 2015 and it is one of the numerous songs that was wrote and co-composed by Jonghyun. SHINee were actually the ones to introduce deep house style music to the Kpop industry with "View." The look and concept for this MV was all created by Key in collaboration with their stylists. He decided he wanted their looks to emulate skater-boy fashion and in order to accomplish that they actually went to the local markets and purchased their clothing off the rack. Which had them setting their own trends again and doing something that no one else was doing. True to what makes SHINee, SHINee, nothing they did with "View," from the sound and style of the song to clothing style was like anything anyone else was doing at the time. Fun fact: This MV was filmed in Thailand, so the actresses are all Thai. The funny thing is, the girls don't speak Korean.The SHINee members said they really didn't interact much with the girls when not filming because they couldn't communicate with them. If you pay attention to the lyrics for "View" you will see that the song is about being mesmerized and sort of brainwashed by the beautiful view as seen within a dream.The MV seems to be about living in the dream of being like a normal group of young men hanging out with friends and having fun in the summer without anything to worry about. However, SHINee have been kidnapped by the girls, and although they end up having fun hanging out together, I think why we hear the police sirens at the end is because the police are coming to rescue SHINee. If you notice, even though they are having fun most of the time, whenever the girls get close to them, SHINee pushes them away, or looks away. So SHINee are not necessarily 100% OK with everything that is happening. And, if you want to see how much fun they had making the MV, you should check out the behind the scenes footage. Some suggestions in case there's a next stream: perhaps a whole concert like SWC4? Or SHINee SNL episodes.. they are really funny. If individual videos: Hype songs - Why So Serious (SWC5) - Hitchhiking (SWC3) - Sherlock + Shine + Stranger (SWC4) - Ring Ding Dong + Lucifer remix (SWC5) Ballads - An Encore (SWC4) - Aside (SWC5) - Moon River Waltz (Tokyo Dome) I would have suggested Diamond Sky and From Now On but I think it's too early for these. Better to watch the whole From Now On concert later when we're ready since it's really emotional.

SHINee's whole concept is about always trying something new!! So they never fail to surprise. It's so amazing and great to see someone being as gobsmacked as me whenever I hear their vocals lol I'm 2-3 years along my SHINee journey and still forever amazed by them. Their voices literally make me feel something, like a physical reaction lol. It's so fun seeing you enjoy and appreciate their music so much!!

Yetti, an option could be to develop a list so people vote beforehand. In that way, you can have everything prepared and do not feel overwhelmed with requests during live. My favorites today: View, Odd Eyes live, Sleepless night.

Selene 6.23(the distance between us) is so special bcoz Jonghyun wrote it inspired my the supermoon on june 23. It talks about one sided love. Longing for someone that is from afar. Shawols associate the moon for Jonghyun. Its interesting now how the 4 of them divide the singing parts of jonghyun

Oh btw when you reacted to Evil, Girls, Girls. Girls, and Sleepless Nights were performances done in 2013 that was 8 years ago and they were just that powerful then as they are now. Right from the gate they were powerful. I would like you to see from the beginning of 2008. You will see the most growth in Taemin and Minho. Really they took a journey. They have suprised me the most in their growth. JONGHYUN, ONEW, KEY were most consistent. In the beginning they were the 3 main singers.... Jonghyun the main singer and the group just kept evolving. It's a beautiful thing to see.

If you like Superstar, A-yo is in the same vibe. they have quite a bit of that. We can choose a mix of Korean and Japanese songs. If you like ballads, live performance is usually the best thing. Their fan meets or concerts are 🥰🤩. Tokyo Dome and the SW series are amazing. If you like fun silly stuff, yellow ribbon 🎗 should be next. We could do the underrated remixes as well. Wasn't able to join (since it's midnight where I am😁) but I'm just so happy that you were able to see some of my most favorite performances particularly Selene 6.23 and Sleepless Night. I always get teary eyed watching these. Selene 6.23 written by Jonghyun inspired by the moon (selene - goddess of moon in Greek mythology, 6.23 as June 23 the date the moon was closest to earth that year it was written). It was said it could be for international shawols as they are far from SHINee.. so hard to reach. I remember in one video I saw I think it was Jjong (not 100% sure) who said to a korean fan the song's not about them since they're always near but international fans as they are so far. The song holds different meaning now since most shawols remember and dedicate this song to Jonghyun now after he's gone. And yes I really love Key's voice especially on their ballads and live performance. He really hypes performances. He also has a good story. If you can watch his interview about swan and chicken (just search shinee key chicken swan), it's really inspiring.

Hi! I couldn’t help but write about the song Selene 6.23 because it is really special song for shawols from Jonghyun Jonghyun write it from the perspective of shawols. Like shawols in the concert reach for SHINee but they cannot touch them. A shawol is just one of fans from thousands of fans, no special. ‘It looks like i cant reach you how much i try, i am not special, just one of many people to you, but we were together every night (means listening them in nights and watching them)’ it says in the lyrics. And Jonghyun named this song related to moon because idols are like moon to reach for fans ~

There's some discourse about what Selene is about. Jonghyun has said it's about the Moon and APPARENTLY he once said it's DEDICATED to international shawols, but I have yet to find that clip. I personally think it's definitely about the Moon and you can tell, but it's a bit of a touchy topic in the shawol community. I think it's the only thing I've actually seen people fight about xD I mean I've only been in the community for 4 months mind you, but it's the one thing I'm always careful to talk about cause both sides are very passionate about the meaning^^ I can also definitely see how the lyrics could feel like they are from a fans perspective, but I doubt Jonghyun would be like "haha, you can't reach us and you're not special to us"

Yetti I just finished watching this video 18 hours later because I missed the live 🥲 My recommendation for next time is to react by sections for example on SHINee concerts they do 4/5 songs per section so it will be awesome if you do your reactions like that. This way you don’t have to keep jumping back and for between fast and slow songs. Also creating a list ahead will make it easier for you that way you can look them up with subtitles, as a lot of their concert songs some really nice people have put subs on it. My favorite SHINee concert is “SHINee World IV” in Seoul because from beginning to end is pure gold. I also recommend Like a Fire, Onew’s Rainy blue cover, Rind ding dong and Lucifer remix together and Amazing Grace. Thank you for your reaction and hopefully next time I can watch it live 🙏 BTW I started my SHINee journey 13 months ago and they still blew me away every time I listened to their live performances. I was really here for your live lol it was fun... you really saw the duality of SHINee with their fun songs and then more serious songs. You reacted alot of their Odd album like Odd Eye, View, Alive, Woof Woof that's like 4 out of 11 tracks from the album. Really is a perfect name for an album covering such vast genres. I think it would have beem easier to name an album and have people suggest what tracks to check out per album like what are the tracks to check for Story of Light, SHINee World, Lucifer, so on.... I don't know maybe ask for a particular song... like asking for ballads and we suggest you some, or r&B, mid tempo, Retro.... i love their retro songs.... an old kinda song with an added new fresh twist like "I really want you" I think in 2013 they were beginning to find their sound and 2015 they really found it even more. What they do really well is retro and bring back old school with a fresh prospective. I think they strive in that. 1 of 1 album is so that retro vibe with 80s 90s sound . I didn't buy the album at the time and waited for the repackage which I do have. When I was ready to buy the 1 of 1 it was nowhere to be found unless someone would resell on ebay or such way overpriced ..... 2 or 3 times more and same in other selling platforms. Ugghhh it's so frustrating that SM their company do not keep albums restocked consistently. FYI if ever you see SM restock SHINee older album.... just buy them cause it will take a year or more to find the album again. Their sales are abismal, yet sell out quickly. SM does not print enough of their albums.

I think any version of Hitchhiking is a good watch. It's upbeat, but the three live versions on youtube are all v different. The SWIII one is basically the original, the SWV is a little more electronic, and the 2018 one is rock-ier and also the single most elaborate staging of any song I've ever seen performed. It might be fun to watch all three back to back? I also think you're ready for Born to Shine (also upbeat).
