👋 My name is Ryan & at age 30 I quit my day job. I used to work full time as a Sr. Front End Web Developer (I quit this job), & part-time as an adjunct professor teaching web development at a local university (I kept this job - I like teaching!). Both of my day jobs were awesome! But that couldn't change the fact that I'm completely addicted to the idea of building passive income streams that will allow me to retire from ever working a 9 to 5 job again.

Interesting interview. I signed up for Shine On based on your recommendation a few months back, but after being on their discord after I signed up, I knew Shine On is not a fit for me. The lack of professionalism took me back. I asked a new question or made a comment about getting my Etsy shop to connect. I am not sure what I said, but the moderator told me to calm down. I think the message was to not to worry, but the word choice was very odd. When I explained that I was not upset the moderator indicated it was a cultural misunderstanding and that in their culture it is perfectly fine to tell people to calm down. Then what made it even weirder is another individual chimed in and told me to calm down. I don't know who this second individual was, but I knew I felt like I signed up for something to be attacked. It was so weird. The whole experience felt really off and made me concerned with how conversations would go in the future when hiccups occur with orders. I am grateful that the communication disconnect happened at the beginning of the relationship rather than after I had made sales.

@@RyanHoguePassiveIncome Ryan, you can't view their catalog without linking a store! And now that Etsy has removed all my ShineOn listings, ShineOn isn't letting me view their catalog - even though they still have all my information and order history, bank info, etc. So when I emailed ShineOn and asked them why I am unable to view their catalog, they told me that I would need to connect another seller platform in order to view their catalog! WTF??? I've been selling ShineOn jewelry for over a year on my Etsy shop, and now I can't even view the catalog? I activated my Shopify site, but I'm seriously reconsidering whether I want to continue working with ShineOn. Horrible customer service, subpar website and lack of variety of jewelry styles and pieces will most likely force me to look into other jewelry partners.
