Shingling Method on 4C TWA Tutorial

9 жыл бұрынI am am showing you guys how to define your natural curl pattern using the shingling method. This is my current favorite way to style my type 4 natural hair. My coils come out super defined and juicy. The style lasts up to two weeks for me.
Please note that you can not create curls that you do not have, no matter what products or methods you use. You can only define your natural curl pattern. Your hair may not turn out looking exactly like mine, and that's okay. Your curl pattern is unique to you!

Beautiful! Hair, makeup.....the makeup just enhances your beauty. This video gives us sistas with TWA 4C hair a beautiful option for both younger and older women. Thank you!!!! I did the BIG CHOP on August 5th and now it is October 27th and your video has shown me how to get the look that I want.Growing up I never wanted an "afro." With today's natural styles, the curliness and waviness of the styles appeal to me. In the last 24 hours, the words finger curls and shingling have come alive in my vocabulary!!! Hi I love your natural curls,I just let my perm go at the beginning of the summer I had perm my hair many years .I am 54 and feel the need to go back natural I did where my hair TWA style many years now seeing gorgeous lady like yourself and other we still look good with out putting a perm in are hair .So thank you for sharing .God bless

I love this style so much and regularly watch this video. Hands down this is my favourite twa tutorial on KZfaq. I had been using the same Eco Styler gel you use for this style but found that it starts to flake after about 3 days so end up washing twice a week. I have now started to style my hair using Nyxon gel (I’ve not heard anyone recommend it, but it gave a super glossy finish and great hold when I used it on my previously relaxed hair, so I thought I’d give it a try again). I am a week in and would normally wash and redo my hair, but the Nyxon get has kept the style with just spraying with water and lifting with a pick when flat. Thank you for uploading this video. Still loving it years later.

Beautiful hair, beautiful you and good job, the best way to show the best of our natural hair. I live in the Czech Republic and the fact that we have almost no African hair saloon, I decided to keep my natural hair and that has been the best decision I have made so far. I am loving it and I feel so great to explore different styles and feel pure African compare to wearing of weave and wigs. Great job I think its about time for each and everyone of us to embrace what we have, be proud of us and be the best at it.

can you do a earth tones make up video where it looks as if you have on any make up or lipstick. I love all your videos. I Love this style, I Love how you explain each step and your make is Perfection.. I understand it is time consuming but you make it look so Beautiful. I love your videos they are very informative and detailed. I just did the Big Chop for the 2nd time and went a loft shorter than before and I was looking for nice styles that would last so I do not have to play with my hair every morning. Thanks So Much.

Yes .. that is beautiful!! I am sooo sad because I have really kinky hair and over time I have really butchered my hair trying to cut out and relax the tangles! Getting weaves .. natural look but added hair! I was not aware of all of these WONDERFUL natural styles that I'm seeing now! I have really RUINED my hair trying to manage it in it's natural state ... This is one of the best methods I've seen performed on short natural hair. I cringed when I saw how tedious it was, but the results were fabulous. Think I'll get a friend to do it for me, LOL..., but I'm finally inspired by a YT natural hair video. Thank you!!!!

I have the same texture hair, but my hair is less dense, love the fullness of your hair, looks great on full head of hair, I used to do it all the time when I was in newly natural. Btw you are gorgeous, great vid💞

Thank you so much. I’d suggest slightly gelling down the edges to cover thin spots. Not create baby hairs, just gel down to make it look polished and in place. That’s what I do for my temple areas as they are really thin (hereditary)❤️

Hey Glammzmore, don't 2get take down these videos! I just chopped off 18 inch locs, still have some damaged/ split ends as the crown of my hair is funny texture. The length and weight of the locs had that oday of my hair pretty thin. Nevertheless my hair is short/ tapered and the sponge doesn't always work for the different textured hair. THIS method and ur wash and go with a rat tail comb method are the truth and answer to my current situation. Ur gorgeous and inspiring. Keep coming with the short hair don't care videos!!!!! I can say not that I can manage my 4c, hair. I for so long just was frustrated with my hair. Lots of breakage all the time. I am a breast cancer patient and now I can use this style to keep it short and BEAUTIFUL. Thank you SISTA!!

Beautiful I love it I'min transitioning mode and my sides and back are close cut like tapered and my crown is long so I'm hopingthis shingling method will work on my back and sides keep up the great work you look amazing
