Hey! If you hair is shorter than mine, you can twirl the pieces of hair around your finger tip more times than I did in the video (to make a finger coil). The shaking just clumps the curls together and creates more ringlets. You can make more ringlets by actually doing full finger coils.🫶🏾

I’m curious, is your hair texturized? Will I be able to define my 4c hair using this method?

Hey! No, my hair is not texturized, and I also haven’t put heat on my hair since it’s been shaved and grown out since last year. You can see my hair journey with multiple natural styles and multiple lengths in my relaxer video for texture reference. it’s just moisturized thoroughly and properly by the end of the video in comparison to when I started. Your hair, whether dry or soaking with product, always has the same texture. The look of your texture changes when you increase moisture and add styling technique like I used in the video (clumping, slightly finger coiling, shingling, shaking). That’s where the most magic happens. Moisture is the most important AND technique is a very close second. In my opinion, Anybody can define their hair regardless of texture by learning how to correctly moisturize… A lot of us just don’t know how to. The appearance of your hair (after properly moisturizing based on your hair type) will turn out according to your true texture (curls, coils, s shape, z shape etc). The steps I took to moisturize are in the video. Getting my curls to be in curlier clump look was where technique came into play like how I talked about before. Hope this helps!
