Thanks so much for this information. Had the shot yesterday and I feel like crap! Now I’m afraid to get the second one, specially if you said the side effects are worse the second time. The thing is, Shingles are so bad that I guess I can deal with a few days of flu like symptoms to greatly reduce my chances of getting them. I really liked listening to your information. I was researching stuff because I felt so bad I wanted to make sure it was normal. Thanks again.

Thank you brother! I had shingles back in November 2018 and just got the Shringtixt vaccine July 6, 2019. This stuff really messed me up I have all side effects even the nausea on top of muscle cramping thanks again good info!

Got the second one. Have all side effects except nausea and headache. I wondered if the second one would not be as bad. It’s the same. Plan ahead if you’re getting it. A three day weekend is best if you work. Make something in the crock pot for the fam although appetite for you might be poor. Arrange for dogs to be walked. Otherwise they will stand over you as you lay in bed and stare at you until you pull yourself up to take care of them.

I'm 57. Four months ago, I had the first of two shingles vaccinations. For three days I couldn't move my arm due to shoulder pain (near where the needle got me). For about 24 hours, I had symptoms similar to the flu (headache, body aches, chills, low fever and nausea). Eight hours ago, I went in for the second of the two-shot shingles vaccination. My shoulder is already frozen and the head and body aches just started about an hour ago. It is likely that in a few more hours, I will wake up with nausea and low fever. All I have to say is that I better not get the shingles before I die!

Got my 1st shot yesterday. Woke with sore arm a bit of aches.

My wife and I got our 2nd dose yesterday . the day after I had body aches, shivers, and my wife had 100 fever temp , shivers, headache, and upset stomach

I got my first shot at 9 AM yesterday. At 3:30 PM i got a headache and my temp went to 100.1 and I felt bad. I had a fever all night and all day today. Shivered at night needing blankets. Had to take off of work today as the fever aches were too much. I still have about 99.3-100.1 fever. Tylenol helps.

I had the first shot and had body aches only for that day. Two months later I took the second dose, approximately ten hours after the second shot I started feeling the symptoms and they were horrific compared to the first shot. I ran a slight fever,and drank plenty of water for hydration that seemed to help. The worst part is the fatigue, and muscle aches,(for me ibuprofen helped me tremendously) my arm was very sore as well as my hand. This went on for exactly two days. The third day I felt much better thankfully. After reading all of the reviews I would definitely recommend taking both shots. I have seen people with shingles,and it is not a pretty sight extremely painful and not to mention it could have long-term side effects. Take the shot on the weekend so you don't miss any work. Just plan to be in your bed dealing with the side effects. You've got this you can do it!!!! Just think about the repercussions of not taking the vaccine, it's worth it in my opinion.

I just got my 2nd shot for the shingles I do have the shivers right now

I took the 2nd shot yesterday, had body aches, slight fever, and stomach pains today.

First shot. Sore arm, chills and body aches and a headache. Basically flu like symptoms. I slept for ten hours straight and felt like I slept for a week.

Second shot gave me a headache and flu like symptoms the next day. Felt better the second say after. I am 76.

How do you know if you're allergic before getting the shot. BTW, saw recent studies showing taking Vitamin D can provide some protection against Shingles and if you do develop it, lessens the severity.

If you still get the shingles after the Shingrix shot, you'll get a lighter case of them?. Where have we heard this before?

i just had my second shot and damm this shot messed me up i have all the side effects really bad.so bad i had to leave work massive body aches and nausea headaches etc. I can't wait for 48hr to go by

I have the single shot my first one I have all the symptoms I was so sick I could not do anything I was sick for two months with this reaction I did not take the second shot

Well, the only side effects I had. Was the in the class of highest percentage of side effects. Where the shot was given, left arm upper deltoid. Felt like someone took a 2x4 and hit me there and a little warm. No redness, still tender third morning. Seems to be less tender....

This shot is dangerous, I was sick for 2 weeks!

Shangrix side effects can be severe... ? No kidding...Such as death... My brother got a brain aneurysm and died the following day.

Don’t get it at all...not effective...terrible side effects...just like the other 💉💉💉. Bell’s palsy,forever pain ....really really really bad...if it gives you shingles WTH is the point ?
