It's nice writing how, in this fight, we went from wanting to see the Director lose a fight/debate on Kafka's humanity/usefulness and controllability, to rooting for his survival, for Kikoru's sake if nothing else.

DAMN THIS SHOW WAS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! The Kaiju Genre is still going strong, whether it’s Godzilla, Gamera, Ultraman, or in this case Kaiju No. 8, cannot wait for Season 2.

i think No. 9 is the most dangerous as of now, not because he's powerful but because he's freaking smart and uses strategy instead of brute force i hope season 2 gets a few deaths it somehow takes the weight of the Kaijus if no one ever dies

Just a little clarification: When Mina said "I believe it's his heart," she meant the metaphorical/proverbial heart. "Shinzou" is the anatomical one. But Mina said "kokoro." That's why they reacted the way they did. Because it wasn't an objective observation, but a subjective one. That's why someone said "we're not asking your personal opinion!"
