This was requested on Reddit so here it is. A view of the ships leaving from the mail slot parked SRV. Space loach is on standby to make sure everything goes to plan. LUNATIC75 actually, if you look just above/below the viewing slot, there is a small room with Windows looking over the station and entrance as well as outside, you can see the black shining Windows as small as they are.(easy to miss because there would only be people in there and we fly big ships)

I used to leave my ship on the landing pad and used external camera positioned just above the interior edge of the slot looking into the station. It was great for seeing how some players struggle with docking and landing! Oh, and the occasional criminal, getting blasted.

@@stevethelegend1789 No they wouldn't. Space is a vacuum - and therefore does not transmit sound. The ships would fly by in utter silence. Still this is pretty cool - I just wonder how they managed to get the SRV out there..

frankly I only got stuck once in my Beluga - when a T7 tried to squeeze through the mailslot from the other side. Getting through there is pretty easy - and the built-in OLS does help a lot as well. I even wrote a guide about that (the OLS) on the forums a while back.

The ships arent that well made and absolutely low poly. Kinda looks okay from a far, but the definetly need to step up the game as some of the ships read in size like it is a solo ship, but it is a big ship. Sadly hardly any content is coming. They are too small to swallow a decent game iteration speed. Pretty boring stuff at times. Like the vibe, hate the small scale of features or fleshed out features. Most are just implemented as simply as possible.

@@Empyrean_Enigma It's an animation. The paint job on that Cobra MkIII doesn't exist. The standard "vibrant red" paintjob for it still leaves black and grey accents on the edges, but here its completely fully red.

@@SangTheCryptek No, they actually did this - they used a bunch of ships to carefully lift the SRV into orbit, from there the SRV can maneuver a little, and with the help of ships nudging it to stay on course they managed to get it into the station. There is a video that covers the whole thing, it took them around an hour. More recently a group did the same thing to get an SRV to a Fleet Carrier.

How was this done?! There really should be a newer Odyssey version of this with all the current ships, a prettier station & 50% slower (ship speed reduced & distance between slightly increased). Best ship comparison video ever.

You can a lot about a pilot of the ship just by the sound of his ship of choice as he flies past you, let me give you a few examples: LAKON: The sound that resembles a big, stonking reactor, gargling vibrations across the hull, meaning you got something big, tough under the "hood" of your ships, meant to either jump very far or power a big ship! Kind of like the old lazy 60's V8 engines that were massive, powerful but having a hard time to get moving! SAUD KRUGER: An excessively muffled sound with sophistication, so sophisticated in fact that the higher class passengers can hear the flight attendant shooshing one of the passengers on the lower decks for getting drunk and being too rowdy. GUTAMAYA: The pinnacle of imperial engineering, where even the ship noise is given special attention, making only one, clear, precise message - if you are a fellow gutamaya ship owner, it is sweet music to your ears, and if you are not, it is clearly telling you that you are moonshine slurping peasant and you should keep your hands off the fine imperial wine!

It has been so many years. I've seen a bunch of videos showing size comparisons, but none that do it quite this particular way with the sounds, point of view, etc etc to really drive home the real feeling of how small versus huge some of these really are. I wish someone would do a new one with newer ships and without the cracked audio.
