Shirgan Tungu Saur is a high altitude alpine lake near Manali just above the town of Jagatsukh in one of the side valleys of Duhangan naala. The hike to the lake takes you through some beautiful forest and meadow ridgelines and the approach to the lake is definitely challenging.

What an amazing experience you guys had with the couple and it was so good to see radio after so long ( nostalgic). Absolutely beautiful trek. One more thing I would like to mention here that with no or less availability of things , how well they treated you and they actually don’t have any complaints from life.

Manav, Hats off to you, Trekker Extraordinaire! This video documenting the journey to the unexplored alpine lake in Manali has left me in awe. Thanks for showing us these beautiful places. Also, you have done so many hikes to these high altitude lakes both in HP & Ladakh, have to been to 2 blue water lakes near kalihani pass, a gaddi showed me the pics he had taken, later I looked up on Google maps and saw them. I guess one is called nili ei.
