The moment you know your being spiritually attacked but you had a praying mother, grandmother, great grandmother. My battle has already been won Thank you God for breaking the yolks and generational curses break every chain God. I totally agree. In fact, she sang this at a friend's mom's funeral in Dec. 2018. I was in the small ensemble that sang...three of them were her people! She worked the STEW out of us with that song! When it was over, she turned to the women and said, "Whew! I enjoyed singing with you big women!" 😂😂 Well, it was a funeral, but I sure did enjoy singing with that little lady too! She is every bit the fireball now that she was then!

Love this song, the mother of our church this was her song. Loved hearing her sing this song and play her trumpet. Mother Mary Washington, Pennsgrove, nj brings such wonderful memories. ❤ she would usher the Holy ghost right on in with song, miss those night services😊 can't hang in there till 1am now but still love and live for the Lord😊

Who knew Shirley Caesar was singing about her own people way back in the 60" s when she first started singing this song. And she has not stopped yet Even though Shirley is getting old now we still love to hear her sing it as no one else can do it. I first heard Shirley singing when I was about 5 years old and I fell in love with her from then on. And I'm now 63 years old.
