I have a Hation Light coming my way and I am pretty excited!

I own that knife...I believe that it’s a Hation Zero. I also own the F3R and owned that 1st....so when the Hation Zero arrived ...I thought THIS(?) is a 7.75" knife...it was so slender and light that it initially seemed lacking for a $700 knife. The F3R, which is only an inch longer seems MASSIVE next to the Hation Zero.....but, and this happens with Shirogorov Knives...with more handling time you start to see the elegant simplicity and that just everything about the knife is perfection. The blade shape, the CF, the milling on the CF. It’s very subtle, but everything is just "right". The thing is like the perfect runner or swimmer with 0% body fat. The knife is something special! The longer you own it...it's true...the more you notice how refined every detail is. Very accurate review!!! 👍🏼 BANG!

This next to the f3r definitely feels elegant, the f3r feels like a knife you could rely on and the Hation feels like a light duty edc

My detent what’s quite heavy too. And just like you if I put my finger on the portion where the detent is it was hard to open. On first cleaning I was able to actually push the detect down just a little bit. It did not affect the action and it did make it a little easier just in case I did have a finger over the detent. I do not advise doing it but that did work for me.

The larger f3r clip is worlds better, that clip would be perfect on almost any knife

BANG STORY TIME... so I got flipper like a year ago and it is soooo good it is black stonewashed blade and the handle is just so comfy it has a flaming bald eagle for the design on the handle and also on the blade it has a blue and green American flag I love the thing I never use it but I do edc it and yesterday I put a green and purple plastic strip lanyard.

Thats a hard answer, i dont think they are but i also know theres a lot of knives that can compete for less, the f3r is absolutely amazing though

You (and the rest of the knife community) need to get past the false idea that a "custom" is better. For 95% of the people (you and me included) they just aren't. Every custom ive had come through my hands (meetups, sharpening service, etc) has had some niggling issue that a major quality manufacturer would absolutely never pass qc. They are always overpriced nonsense. Shiros are fine, not the best knife on the market, certainly not the worst. Ive got 3, like em all fine

700, hey you get what you pay for!! I like the Shiros a lot but out of my price range for sure! I wonder if contact with the edge by the flipper is like that on all of them or just that one cause if you don’t do it rite then your getting cut! 🤔

Still not sure how I feel about Shirogorov designs. They look like folding steak knives. Very clean, very smooth steak knives. I like them and I don't. I worry about the fragility of the tip. I like the scales unreservedly.

I always thought the same thing, and that is still my one issue although when in hand and use them you realize how great they are and how it is knife that works how a knife should it doesnt have the special things on the blade that do nothing, it has a blade shape that tested to work
