I remember when i was in school, like 45 years ago, a music teacher already said to us : "if Beethoven would live today, he would for sure do metal." So .. i guess it makes totally sense to play it this way 😄😄🤘🏼🤘🏼

Ludwig Van was shredding it before it was cool. 🤘 I imagine when he was composing the 3rd movement of "Moonlight Sonata" he must have had a stupid smile on his face and rubbed his hands with excitement, thinking about how hard it's gonna hit, especially after slow and super peaceful 2nd movement. True rockstar at heart he was.

As an 80’s kid myself… it reminds me of Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure - when they bring Beethoven to the future and he rocks out in the mall. He played a current song (at the time) - “Play with me” by Extreme, but achieved a similar effect for sure… Beethoven doing metal!

For sure. A lot of his compositions were kind of the metal of their time. He would absolutely love a lot of European symphonic metal if he were alive today.

Correct. But it’s not a song. There is no singing in it. It’s a piece of music, or a ‘piece’ for shortS People got used to calling all pieces of music ‘songs’ because of the pop charts where all pieces were actually all songs. Now it has become a commonplace error. It irks me greatly.

I've heard reactors who are well schooled in classical piano, & have stated that she did not miss a note. If I remember correctly, I read somewhere, that there were 2540 notes over the course of 6 min 8 sec for an average of 7.08 notes per second... !! Please have a reaction to her playing Steve Vai 'For The Love Of God'. Sensational.

Love your reactions. I've been watching lots of this, after discovering it just over a week ago, and being totally blown away. I'd just like to make a few observations. Many people are saying she look bored. No, this is the most hyper-focused person I've ever seen, she was laser focused on what she was doing. It was the very opposite of being detached. Secondly, most concentrate on her hand and finger speed, her precision, none of which I'm qualified to comment on. However, what stands out to me, and seems overlooked, was how she delivered this. She was not just technically playing the notes, she had overall vision on the music she was playing, and delivered it with passion and understanding for it. This was no dry display of technical skills, but a powerful presentation and interpretation of the piece of music. This probably wasn't clear because of the speed of what she was playing, and it's intensity. When I watched a side by side, with Dr Viosy, who first did this arrangement on electric guitar, it was amazing how much Tina S followed him, but with added panache. Dr Viosy's delivery, was much more of a dry display of skill and technical excellence.

@sliceofheaven3026 - I would say a... combination of two points: a natural talent, and a practice. Every day, every week, every month(s). Repeat that for a few years. And more. Always striving for more. Repetiton and dedication. Talent, sure. But let's not forget how much time, the effrot and dedication she put into it. Sometimes just a pure "talent" is not enough, not if you ignore it, waste it, if somehow you are discourage along the way, or you just going to gave up (because maybe some people were saying that you are not good enough). This lady, she knew what she was doing from the beginning. Pure dedication. Talent? Yes. But there is something more behind that, behind her as a person. Edit: spelling...

@@IA_Development_Paris Oh, really funny of you to LAUGH AT PEOPLE like you are still an infant. Real nice. I have been bullied my ENTIRE life for multiple reasons. I HATE being laughed at. Because you did that, I went looking for that video. I can't find it. IF it ever existed on the internet, it's not there anymore. Could have existed at one point and been taken down since. Or maybe it never existed at all. So, knowing about my faulty memory, you could easily be factually right and I could just be remembering things wrong. I would have sworn I saw a video like that but now I am not so sure of myself. ESPECIALLY since I cannot find that video or link. I will admit, knowing what I know about myself now, I might have dreamed the whole thing up. My problem is that I can't tell anymore. I really wish things were different so I could go back to knowing reality from fantasy. Senility really sucks. As for never having done a duet...I would not know that because I don't know her personally. Do YOU PERSONALLY KNOW Tina, in order to make your claim that she NEVER did any duet? Cameras didn't exist when people were simple farmers raising families. Or are you the type who firmly believes that 'If It's Not On Camera, It Did Not Ever Happen!'...? Because that behavior is also pretty damned childish. IF this is really what you believe, then according to your version of events, there was no life before cameras. We Humans and Animals and Plants just suddenly spawned in after some other higher power invented the camera. So you go right ahead and laugh at me all you want. I guess you have the right to make yourself look like a complete and total asshole over the internet for everybody around the world to see.

If I'm right in thinking she hasn't performed live a lot, then it's probably good to have someone else as the front person at 1st, rather than her doing a solo act right away. You discovered Tina - what a great reaction!😀👍 When she started playing, it was instant "stun mode" lol. She definitely did not miss a single note, absolutely world-class virtuoso!! I love that she has that huge wide vibrato, like Uli Roth, Yngwie Malmsteen or Michael Schenker, for those who know rock guitarists....there are a lot of guitarists who can play really great & fast, but still don't have that vibrato. Because she plays with such a straight face, many foolishly said that she was playing with no emotion. That's so silly, you can obviously hear the emotion, & lots of it! She's just into it and concentrating, also I believe at the time she had great experience in playing, but not performing in front of an audience. I'm not sure how much live performance she did, but I don't think it was a whole lot at that time. Once performers get used to being in front of an audience, they usually learn to project emotion at that point. She kind of disappeared from KZfaq several years ago, but word has it she's back and has a band together. She is in CONTROL of that guitar!! 🎸🔥🔥🌋🤯

Tina S was the best guitar player there was. Unfortunately, she has disappeared from the surface. This piece has been played so flawlessly and, above all, error-free. Even a music professor, who almost exclusively rendered outstanding services to Beethoven, listened to this piece, also in a slow version, and could not find any mistakes or missing notes. Tina came from "Classic". She knew every note, every phrasing, everything of this piece. That's why you can only show Tina every respect. I loved their game! Too bad she isn't here anymore!

I love watching people react to this video by Tina S. and see their jaws hit the ground. People who have played the guitar for decades professionally have said they were never even close to her level of skill and talent. She was 16 or 17 when she did this.

It was ALWAYS a Rock piece. Beethoven was a rock-and-roller. He was looked down on by MANY people of high society status because his style was NOT the contemporary music everybody listened to back then. His style flew in the face of convention and conformity. If today's words had been around at the time, people would have called him a 'Rocker' and maybe even a 'Metal-head'! Tina simply switched instruments, that's all. Well, also the fact that a seventeen-year-old kid could do this without their fingers falling off was a pretty cool selling point for the video... lol

Maddy, if you are a "Chopin and Debussey type of girl", you should check out Antonin Dvorak, particularly his Symphony No 9 ( From The New World), second movement (Largo). A copy on cassette was taken to the Moon on Apollo 11. Tina, as is the case with so many ultra talented people, calmly makes an extremely difficult activity look easy.

TinaS was an absolute prodigy, absolutely incredible guitarist. She’s still around but not posting much on YT anymore, I think she now has her own band. Your face was an absolute picture 😂 🌹 Edit: if you’re interested in any more of her work check out her cover of Steve Vai’s For the love of God; another interesting classical metal guitarist is Berit Hagen aka The Commander in Chief, she’s also a prodigy, this is a suggested first listen, I’m not interested whether you react to it or not - it’s more for your interest! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/idmgd8R2y7uadHU.html enjoy! 🌹

Tina's performance is flawless, but she didn't turn this into a rock song. Even on the piano, as originally composed, this movement rocks. Beethoven was ahead of his time. As someone else noted, if he were alive today, he'd probably be composing heavy metal.
