I have noticed there is an increase in people taking up van life, I feel sorry that there are so many ridiculous parking restrictions and nasty private parking companies in the UK 🙏🇬🇧

You don’t get the private parking companies in Scotland but you do get rangers and angry locals at us parking up for free. They don’t like it and will beep constantly during the night. Because of some van lifers behaving really badly it’s made it worse for you all. Far too many MHs around now, parking in front of people’s houses is a big no no

Its much worse here in london ..where as any diesel vans and cars (like mine) which is more than 6 years old will have to pay £12.50 a day to drive it !! This country is finished..After 58 years born here ..Im selling up and moving to my place in Spain ..Van life in France and Spain is open to us like minded tax paying citizens

When you were in Morecambe, you could have visited the Radford Family’s pie shop. We’ve had a few boxes delivered the last 2yrs & they are absolutely divine! You wouldn’t be disappointed. Safe travels guys!! Xx

You can't actually sleep in van in keswick carpark. You can park but not sleep. I don't understand but read the signs, spoke to people when we went and they got tickets. Bottom of cat bells is nice to sleep the night 👍

We’ve tried to get in the cat bells one but never any room, never had a problem in Keswick car park will will scan the signs better next time we visit 😊

Have another trip to Morecambe when the Eden project has been built, hopefully it will liven the place up a bit. I think mint sauce used to be mixed with vinegar, maybe it wouldn’t be as strong then 🤷‍♀️…..I love Keswick, think we may give that car park a try. Take care…..Kim 😊

Hi Annette (it’s kathryn) so ‘Fieldview’ comes from years back, it was a photo I took at our old house of Steve with zak when he was about 2yrs old watching the combines working in the back field. I used to show pedigree guinea pigs for many years and my showing prefix was ‘Fieldview cavies’ so that’s where it came from ☺️

Love it at lakeside aquarium we have been a few times this year and noticed some not paying. Shame as it not expensive and I like the walk to the swan hotel. Brilliant. Not been to the one in Keswick will try that next time we are down.

I like the Starling set up👍 Is it 12v or 240v? Is there an option for a washing machine in camper vans or is it better to do a night per week in a campsite to top up batteries, do washing, empty waste etc?

Starlink is 240v mains only . We tend to do a campsite every now and again for washing ect , there is revolution washing machines at some garages .

Hiya so for sites we use mainly ‘pitchup’ and for wild camp sites we use either search for sites, park4nights or google maps with street view. Sometimes you come across a nice place to stay as your driving along 😊

If you do some research on cornflakes, any cornflakes, you'll see it's pure poison. I'd never give that to my child and have raised my kids to indeed avoid those kinds of anti-foods at all costs. You should too if you care for your children's long-term health.
