The vehicle you were riding in is called a Tuktuk in Mombasa and really all around Kenya, but mainly common in Mombasa. I just came back home to Atlanta, GA USA from visiting Kenya 3 days ago and I already miss it 😢. I am Kenyan/ American, my parents are from Kenya born and raised and I’ve been back to my second home 3 times and many more to come🥰 I love you travel vlogs in Kenya; keep it up!👏🏾

What the difference between sasa and Manbo vipi?
@rhomarx9824
@rhomarx9824 Жыл бұрын
@@rda-gama2567 They literally mean the same thing. They all mean "Hi". Nairobi and Mombasa are not the same, like they profoundly differ in language and culture. English and Swahili is spoken in both cities. However, the Swahili differs a lot. In Mombasa, they speak refined Swahili synonymous to Coastal Tanzania. But in Nairobi, they mainly speak "sheng" that's Swahili + English. As a a result, when greet someone in Mombasa with a "sasa", they automatically know you're from Nairobi or other Kenyan in-land towns. The same case applies with "Jambo". Jambo is primarily a Tourist greeting. If you greet any Kenyan with the Jambo greeting, they presume you're a tourist. Then Mombasa is too relaxed and kinda conservative with a high Muslim population and lots of tourists. On the other hand, Nairobi is fast-paced and very liberal.

A small piece of information, Kenya's second largest city is actually Ruiru after Nairobi then Mombasa. But because of how close it is to Nairobi, Ruiru has never been recognised as a city.. It is considered a part of Nairobi metropolitan area. If you get a chance, visit Ruiru and in particular: the Kimbo area with the beautiful dams where people party and do water sports, Tatu city with it's beautiful industries and estates and Kamakis with all its clubs and great nyama choma.

Umedanganya, Ruiru ni ka estate wacha ufala, Thika ikiwa wapi? toka ocha tembea Kenya.., Nakuru or Eldoret u will have to combine Ruiru and Thika and all it's environs, Mombasa outside Nairobi haina comparison in kenya, ata kama ni ignorance hii nayo imepita sana🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@user-pp2ib7lm9k city imekufufikia lakini unaishi kwa kaploti. Sawa msee. Mii nimieomokea Ruiru city. Mi ni fala sana. 😎😅🤣 Fanya research utoke kwa shimo. Kenya's second largest urban area is Ruiru. I grew up in Ngong, kajiado, hustled from a young age in Roysambu and like many including famous comedians, I have found my success in Ruiru city. Mombasa is a small island and the population there is based on Mombasa metro not Mombasa city. The Ruiru area includes Ruiru town, Membly, Kenyatta road, Kamakis, Kimbo, Kijani ridge, part of Tatu city, Oaklands, Murera, matangi, Toll, Daykio and many other fast emerging towns and gated estates that haven't yet been officially gazetted because of the pace of expansion of the Ruiru area. Politics is the only reason the real population of Kiambu's largest city has not yet been acknowledged. The political consequences would be difficult to deal with. Based on the unofficial data, Ruiru has somewhere between 1.5 and 2million inhabitants. I'm one of them living in the Toll area and from exploring this place I can understand those numbers.
