I’ve tested all the new bows that came with Ashland update and I promise you that the results will literally shock you! We will test the damage, unique abilities of each weapon and conduct tests in real combat. Enjoy!

Also... There's a new mage shotgun, which is hilariously fun to hunt with on the Morgen. Lightning weapons are extremely good overall 😌 But I don't like when it suddenly hits nearby dwarfs, I mean dvergrs

Fenris archers are cool, but what about ask set + asksvin cape: - good mouvement speed + wind buff - stamina reduced for most actions - better armor ( equivalent to plains heavy set) - 10% MORE DMG on pierce (bow/xbow are mainly pierce) im playing as a ranger/druid, using 1 food of each: Bloodripper (+charred bolts) to first shot, engage, and most of time 1 shot 1an ennemy ( using protection staff to reduce my hp and secure defence while increasing the lethality of my xbow ) then jadebow (+ silver arrows) to fight and manouver with safety root, staff of wild for more control and overall dmg, and a safety DUNDR for those who ever come to close ( and just to have strong lightning dmg for morgens)=D.

Thanks for the comment! Your build is very interesting! I like that idea! Regarding Armor you are probably right. But actually I need to make tests on that topic. Probably even make video about it.

Cool vid, Storm Fang it is then. What is the crafting repecie for the base Ash Fang thou? For whatever reason it didn't unlock for me and I can't find crafting spec being posted anywhere.

For the blood bow, I wonder if it pairs well with being a blood mage (using blood magic which decreases your health, then whipping out the bow and staying out of enemy range)

That sound interesting! But to use bow you need stamina, and for magic you need eitir. It will be quite challenging to make the build that will work good with such combo.

You don't need stamina for the ripper, I feel the bloodstone is better suited to this crossbow with blood magic.

how do i craft the ashfang? i dont have the recipe unlocked and im not sure what material im missing

You will need: 10 Ashwood 16 Charred Bone 5 Flametal 5 Bonemaw Tooth ( It is dropped by new Serpent in the waters of Ashlands )

@@AdventurestGaming I can add that imobilize chase with axes happes very rarly, plus axes have a very short distance in comparison with the mist sword for exaple. its much easier to kill enemies with the sword + shield. But exes are fun against low lvl enemies.

Hi. How do you unlock this bow? Im on Ashlands pts w lvl 5 forge. I hv unlocked all weapons when I picked up flametal, but dont have ash fang or ripper. Ty

you need to craft the base weapon first, as it's part of the recipe for the variants (just don't use an upgraded base weapon, it will reset it's level to 1 regardless)

Hello! For the tests i've been using wood arrows. But in personal games I prefer to use Ice Arrows for the Ashland biome.

all charred are weak to spirit, so best would be having a stack of silver arrows and a stack of frost arrows cause its neutral dmg but the slow effect is quit helpfull in some situation + few ennemies weak to frost. Basicly in ashlands you kinda want to avoid poison or fire damage. Too many ennemies are resistant or immune to those. ENJOY =D

Would Spinesnap still be better for single target damage? Also would Spinesnap be better with lower bow skill?

Absolutely not. The damage that chain lightning gives is absolutely incomparable with any other bow in the game. The skill level affects the shooting speed and the physical component of the damage. Moreover, with a low skill level, the ability to get an additional (minimum) 75 damage every fifth shot is even more valuable.

You need to make regular Ash Fang and insert one of the magic stones, that you will get inside the Fortress.

Before the Ahslands update it was Fenris torso and leg armor and strongest helm I can get. But with new Ask set I would probably go for it. But I need to make some tests on that topic. Don't have enough time to do it, beause I'm corrently working on couple of new videos.

So this must have been in the test branch as the Ashfang has Spirit damage that is removed when you change it. Which sucks, it should keep its spirit damage.

All bows receive an equal amount of spirit damage when upgraded

need at least lvl 2 ashfang for spirit dmg, i recommand only upgrade after u crafted a stone variant of the bow, cause using the stone (root, blood, storm) will reset the level of the bow.

Bloodfang should build a decaying stack based on damage dealt instead

Or he could deal Blood Magic damage with some interesting bonus like summoning creature that will fight on your side.

@@AdventurestGaming True, I like your idea though. Mine was largely based on situations where you find yourself overwhelmed by an endless horde and you would kite and kite until you build up enough stacks to overwhelm *them* instead.

@@AdventurestGaming Honestly when i heard about the Blood weapons I though it was gonna be a lifedrain ability, you get back a percentage of damage dealt as health, personally i think that would be more useful. or maybe it has that plus the damage boost. Life drain keeps you alive while at low health to get the most of the dmg boost
