If I have existed in the wizarding world, and happened to have been in a pureblood family, I would want my family to be like the Macmillans. Keeping their bloodline 100% pure but never hating muggles, and never pressuring to marry purebloods. It's like that perfect area in the middle.

I think that at one point, the Sacred 28 were all noble houses in a Wizarding monarchy that was either overthrown and replaced by the Ministry or simply died out.

If you think about it families like the greengrass , Parkinson and the Abbott family only have female heirs we know of so if they get married their child will not have the last name of their family rather their husbands family so wouldn’t their family be lost too especially with the greengrass blood curse. You can probably omit Greengrass from the list as well. Although Astoria married a pureblood, the family has no known male descendants to carry the family name. Astoria has a sister, Daphne, but regardless of who (or if) she married, the line would still be extinct.

Maybe I’m missing something but, there is Ignatius Prewett, uncle of Molly (and her brothers ofc). He married Lucretia Black and If Ignatius were not a pure-blood, then Lucretia would have been disowned from the Black Family for marrying him; she was not. Lucretia died in 1992 (aged 66 - 67), but we have no confirmation on Ignatius death, so its still possible that hes alive (but very old), so Prewett family name is still possible to be alive.

I wish there were a line of Good bloods. A family line of witches and wizards who were teachers and healers. They spent their lives inventing new spells and potions for healing sickness and improving mental and physical health, as well as increasing the education of others through science and magical discovery.

Percy and George married purebloods and had pureblood children. Its not exactly mentioned their blood status but its more likely that they were pure

I don't think I would count the Black Family as extinct. The reason is simple: Sirius's uncle Alphard Black was cast out of the family by Walburga Black for giving the runaway Sirius money. But since Walburga's line has gone extinct and Alphard is the last male heir to the family, that means any legitimate claim to the family's name and legacy would immediately fall onto Alphard Black and whatever kids he has. The Purebloods would probably happily welcome him back (as long as he married another Pureblood) and dismiss the excommunication as "family politics".

Weasley would still be on the list, through George, Charlie, Bill, Arthur, and Ron. They are all pureblood, regardless of who they married. Just like Neville.

There are probably many more rooms similar to the Room of Reguirements and entrances into other worlds...

The Sacred 28 are British Pure-Bloods, so Lestrange would not count

Voldemort's mother Merope Gaunt married a muggle. Even though the muggle was under the influence if amortentia she married a muggle which means the Gaunt's were no longer pure bloods and Voldemort who is related to the Gaunt's from his mother's side was a half-blood.

One thing worth looking into is whether Salazar Slytherin would have softened his views towards Muggle born students or the non-magical world in general? We know that he despised the non-Magical world so far as to breed a basilisk in the attempt to purge the school of Muggle born students, but we know very little of why he held these extreme ideals. We know that the Middle Ages saw many Muggles attempt to purge the world of what they considered dark arts, and living unenlightened existences, but why did these transgressions strike at him so personally, when the likes of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw, whom also knew of the persecution they faced if they were exposed, and thus founded Hogwarts to be a safe haven away from such suffering, were not as extreme as he was? Why was he so untrusting of Muggle born students, when they would serve as the best emissaries to bridge the magical and non-magical worlds? At the time Slytherin lived, he only ever saw the worst of Muggle kind, but what if he saw the times beyond his death? When the Muggle world brought about tremendous advances without magic, when it had overcome its irrational fear of the different, and built great things? Would he have considered his past views somewhat regressive, knowing that Muggle born or raised students possessed an insight unique to them, an insight and experience that could enrich wizard kind, a rare kind of potential? Hermione was considered advanced for her years in terms of academic ability, enough to warrant the attention of Slughorn, who valued students of great intellect and ability, regardless of their background, even when the Slughorn family were pure blood and he was encouraged to be with the "right kind of people"; if a Slytherin like him could see the value in someone like her, why would Slytherin overlook or reject such raw talent purely because it didn't come from magical heritage? Surely the trait of a Slytherin is resourcefulness and self-preservation, and the greatest way to safeguard the future of the magical world is to encourage talent from unlikely places, hone it to your advantage, and utilise it to build greater things, rather than be discriminating? I mean, it took nearly 1000 years for the basilisk to be released from the chamber to attack the school, and it was at the hand of a distant relative, who was incapable of feeling love or empathy, and most likely groomed by other pure blood supremacists in the school into believing that those with non-magical heritage were an affront to the magical world. Given that Slytherin never opened the chamber in his life time, not even towards the end of his days as one last parting shot against those he once called his friends, would that be a sign that he eventually saw his past ideals as trivial? He left the school long before his passing, so no doubt the Sorting Hat was still tuned to his original beliefs when he left, rather than those he may have grown to accept, but could he have grown to instead accept or tolerate Muggle born magic users? That would be an interesting theory to look into.
