Yeah, it's like the time an expansion was released for Tobago... in 2020 (!?!) It boggles my mind to create expansions and upgrades to games seriously hard to find and mostly OOP...

I have the KS edition of shogun with the wooden buildings, I like them better than these plastic ones. Glad I passed on this.

did these upgrade kits just come out? I thought Shogun and Wallenstein have both been out-of-print for a little while now

I trend cardboard over plastic, unless it is 3d model sometimes that is cool (like the buildings replacing the flat tiles) also I really dislike metal coins. I started getting them for games and problems: there are never enough (always have to also use the cardboard over buy more), they add so much weight to the box (big pain if you travel / games), they take up more space in the box than the cardboard (always seem bigger), why are they always huge, bigger than most currency in the world, and biggest from me is it did not early seem to add that much to the game. If anything I wish they would do more poker chip style money stylized to the game just for the they don't get as grubby as cardboard after many plays.

I find the upgrade kits waaaayyyy over priced......60 Euro each....man....you can get normal games for that money.

AVOID ! Queen Games has massive production problems and their games are regularly missing pieces. Nonetheless, Queen Games still knowingly sells these defective games. And thereafter, they are refusing to provide the missing replacement parts.
