Random, but was a janitor for a school over the summer for a few years. The light switches are sort of indented into the wall for the hallways. You need a kind of key to fit into the slit and flip the switch inside the wall. Can't just flip it.

Not just signs. Personnel at every turn, inspecting, patting down, talking to you, etc. The staff were high, I think. I've never gone into one in street clothes. Only a gown. This crazy lady must have purposefully avoided and evaded detection. Wonder if they could recover the cost in courts if her bullet pierced the machine? Unfair, stereotype: Fat lady from a trailer park? Good luck in that gold mine shaft.

Cripes, I just had an MRI yesterday and they asked me about metal on my person about a hundred times. And you strip down and put on one of those hospital gowns. But seriously what kind of paranoid mindset do you need to carry a firearm into a hospital, and not even let go while having an exam. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the MLB step in here and rewrite the rules around deferment. This is totally against the spirit of the cap and presents an unfair competitive advantage for the Dodgers. It’s a strange precedent to set.

It's interest free. You factor in depreciation and he's losing a considerable amount of money by deferring it like that. He'll make a stupid amount of money in endorsements though, so I doubt he'll lose much sleep over it.

Hopefully the MLB creates some kind of regulations for contracts. Shohei’s deal should be illegal. To be able to defer $680M is just crazy. The team could be sold after his tenure and that $680M be the responsibility of the next guy. They’re paying a guy $68M a year for a decade after he retires?!?!?!!?? Cmon MLB. If they don’t put a stop to deals like this now, then every all star player to sign will get contracts like this

The Angels screwed over Ohtani with a pathetic contract, poor management, and coaching. The Angels fans, though, surely loved his presence. It's hard to feel bad for a guy who is making 70 MILLION/year; he'll get boo'd throughout the few games he'll play against Anaheim over the next 10 years, though.

Far as I'm concerned baseball is ruined. PED's did a foul number on the game and now out-of-control spending by a handful of teams makes it impossible for anyone not in LA-NY to compete more than a few years. Houston bottomed-out big-time to be where they are now but you wait...in a few years if not sooner KABOOM down the mediocre toilet. Only reason the Angels didn't do squat is because of their rotten owner. Same as the Rockies...great fanbase but a terrible ownership group confining them to the basement in perpetuity.

Hella bummed as an Angels fan who only got into baseball because of seeing Ohtani play when I was in Cali with my wife's family. Don't think he will actually win there either so the loss isn't even worth it. I really want to see him succeed because he is not only an incredible player but an excellent person.

The nonsense coming out of the mouths of fans that didn't get Ohtani is absolutely crazy. I'm a 30 year jays fan and as much as I don't like my team being used as a bargaining chip to get the team they want to pay more(canadian teams have to pay more because living in Canada sucks that bad, especially when you look at the taxes), I really wouldn't want to pay a guy that might never pitch (well) again that much money until he's 40. Add in all the nonsense out clauses he has in that contract, and it's a definite no thanks. 😅
