Shoot Lomo Turquoise for FREE!

Heyyyyy film friends. I've been shooting a lot of Lomography's Purple and Turquoise films lately. They achieve the effect by swapping the dye layers in the film, so I figured it would be fairly easy to recreate in Photoshop by swapping a digital image's color channels. So, I did.

Good work! Here is another way: Swap red and blue channel, and use curves to adjust rgb channels separately for color grading. Using this method, I converted the photo taken with this film into a normal photo. So I thought, the opposite would work to convert it back as well.

Really good results with this technique! I had a blast shooting Lomochrome Turquoise in New York last month.

Oddly, it somehow reveals how digital can feel like unadjusted clothing that never quite fits, it may be tweaked to but the amount of choices makes it so ambivalent it gets puzzling...

I agree, there is definitely a case for the simplicity of just popping a roll in your camera and shooting.
