Man every sunday a video. you are really a video production machine :D i love botanical gardens. the mostly victorian architectural language is always a highlight. 4:26 and all the pictures after that are so damn good. 💪💪💪 the lomo 400 shot of the interior looked better. like the more golden appeal. ✌️

Gotta feed that algorithm 😂 thank you so much Daniel! I’m really enjoying the architecture on this side of the world. South Africa is made on mostly concrete and glass, so this is a real treat! I’d also choose Lomo at the end of the day if I’m honest.

The light in a greenhouse is pretty damn delightful 😮- Noted. Lovely shots once again man, haven't tried Ektachrome so cheers for showing what it can do. Love the shots at 2:42 and 2:54 those colours are poppin! Also the shot at 6:28 is great, framed so nicely. I agree with you the colours of Lomo slightly edging it I think but Ektachrome looks super nice too.

Thank you so much man 🙏 ektachrome is a great stock, but not all the labs here process it I have discovered! Still give it a try tho and let me know what you think! Lomo also gets my vote for the price 👍

Yes, getting positives back or pulling them from a tank is special. I'm about to try my luck with ADOX SCALA and home developing positive B&W film. From what I have seen it's magical.

I have never heard of that before! Good luck to you Steve! I’ve developed E6 at home before and that was something special, tough but very special.

Great video, Brendan! You look super satisfied.. like you've launched a really good nugget. Those colours of Ektachrome are super nice, I've always seen it as a very crisp, precise filmstock

Thanks Ace! Yeah I won't lie Ektachrome is tough to shoot with compared to colour negative. But I'm getting more and more used to using it.

I haven't shot Provia in many many moons! I need to try get my hands on some and give it another go to compare. You did me well with the Lomo recommendation so I trust your judgement so far Bon! Don't let me down.

Great video as always my dude! The photo, cinematography, music, and talking points always create such a cohesive story. Also, there is something magical about greenhouses. The way they diffuse light is so satisfying! It’s very sad that film is so expensive right now. I hope corporate greed doesn’t keep the prices the way they are even after supply chain issues get resolved😅

Funny that you've made this video, cus I've been really curious to give Ektachrome a try. I've shot a bunch of photos at the Royal Botanical Gardens when I lived in London, it was definitely a place where I'd go often for portraits shoots and I loved the way you captured it on positive film, well done! ✌️

Thank you Nuno! I honestly feel like I didn't do it justice. I was only there for 2 hours before it closed. Definitely need to go again and see the whole place. And hells yes, give ektachrome a try man-but be careful the price put a dent in the old bank account 🤣

@@thefilmdaddy That's what's been keeping me from trying it, but I think it'll only get worst the longer I wait to buy it 😭🤣

I'm still a medium format Ektachrome virgin. Tried 35mm and loved it so it's a must! Awesome video and dope shots! Subbed! 👍🏾

Thank you Inkast! I wont lie it’s definitely a tricky film to shoot, exposures have to be on point, but it’s definitely capable of pretty amazing results!

@@thefilmdaddy True. I actually found that a slightly underexposed (and I mean slightly) image produced the best results. I lifted the shadows in photoshop and was able to preserve my highlights. Just something I noticed but it’s definitely subjective 😉
