Good vid again. I have also deleted my stock pump cuz of my after market. Can u point me in the right direction for the larger hose adaptor in the cp3. I wanna hook the fuel line directly to that as well. Unless I have a vid I didn’t see lol.

Cheers! Here is a link to the Fleece Inlet Fitting on Alligator Performance's website. How’d you go about that 1/2” cp3 feed kit? Also with the ficm? Most people run it from the filter housing to the new fitting but I’m removing the filter head.

I ran a new 1/2” line directly from my lift pump all the way to the cp3. Gets rid of a lot of extra lines and such but it requires you to run your FICM dry. Otherwise if you want to keep the flow to your FICM let it feed in, then make a line connecting the FICM outlet to your cp3 inlet.

@@FixedVaneDuramax same way I was planning on running mine. It’s all apart right now injectors shall be in tomorrow. I’m down south Louisiana and didn’t quite want to run it dry due to heat. But I may extend my harness so I can relocate and bypass the ficm so it’s a straight shot to the cp3

How much power alone with 3 inch y bridge ? Any different turbo whistle?

Short answer, not much. You will see a small gain from upgrading all your piping and ybridge due to less restriction, but not much. The ybridge won't due anything for turbo whistle, a fabricated intake will do the most there (besides upgrading the turbo itself)

Did you have to do any tuning for bypassing the FICM? Any CELs?

Nope, there is no flow or pressure readings through the FICM. It has no idea there is no longer fuel passing through it.

@@FixedVaneDuramax I've re done my fuel system since I made that comment. I found some info about the FICM using the fuel to cool itself. I ran right from my lift pump filters to the FICM and then to the CP3. I swapped the fitting on the CP3 to a half inch barb. Thanks for the reply though 👍

Hey there. Do you still have stock internals? I’m putting off doing a whole rotating assembly or just rods because I honestly don’t want to spend the money. Nice build! So yeah long story short you should be in the 700+ hp range with that setup, with proper tuning if I take a wild stab at it. You need to make sure you are working closely with your tuner, ensuring he is trying to keep the torque out of the low rpm range. That's where the real danger is, big torque on slow moving rods, they can get hurt easily. But a lot of guys have good luck keeping stock bottom end trucks together for a long time getting up into that power level. That being said, it is most likely a when, not an if, that it will get some damage at some point.

Hey good question. The cp3 does NOT need to be timed. On older engines without electronic fuel injection the pumps were responsible for delivering fuel at the proper time to the cylinder. On a common rail/EFI system the fuel injector has an electric solenoid on the the body that opens and closes to deliver fuel at the correct time and quantity (Hence the term electronic fuel injection.) The gear on the cp3 pump can be meshed at any point in the rotation to the cam gear.

This truck has stock injectors in it for now, still healthy. At some point I will most likely put in SAC 65% sticks from S&S.

So this is a federal emissions lb7 so there wasn't an EGR system on the truck to begin with. If you have a lly or lbz that is stock with its egr system, and somehow it magically disappears and the truck gets tuned, yes you will see a large difference but the majority of the difference is purely in the tuning not the blocking of the EGR. In fact you can get block off plates to simply block it off and have it shut off in tuning, and get the same result. The main benefit of getting a full delete and cold side piping kit is that is removes the layers of sooty build up from the EGR that are in the cold side system. So long story short, untuned emissions equipped will not hold a candle versus tuned and deleted older trucks. As you get into the newer trucks like LMLs and L5Ps that begins to change but definitely a big dig difference in the older trucks.

I’ve never had an issue with one in multiple trucks. Essentially works like stock but doesn’t break under big power.

@@boostedbryan5097 Stick with Exergy, S&S, or Fleece and you can’t go wrong. Properly size the pump to your hp goals. Bigger isnt always better. This much is bigger than I need and surges a bit. 10mm wouldve been perfect and can support up to 750hp worth of fuel.
