2 жыл бұрынCity started preparations for Saturday's clash with Brighton with a crossing and shooting drill at the CFA today.
Despite scoring five goals away to Brugge and 22 shots (nine on target), the session was very much a battle to beat the keepers.
There were crosses into the box for volleys and headers - several impressively kept out by Zack Steffen - plus one-twos and shooting from the edge of the box, al under the watchful eye of boss Pep Guardiola.

What he needs is to work on his approach. He is too passive when he attacks the ball, would like to see a bit more aggressiveness. As his ball control overall, he needs constant work with the ball at his feet from dribbling to receiving and just general ball control. All those coaches and no one can help him with that, shame.

Cancelo is a great player, however, sometimes he gets cute, which costs City goals, he got cute in midfield VS Liverpool, which led to Salah's roaming and feeding Mane for their first goal. Again, against Club Brugge, he got cute again and cost City the clean sheet. Watch the replay.

It's not more shooting practice he needs, he needs to change his approach and more practice in general on ball control. Back to the fundamentals.

U can notice the difference in the finishing from Cole Palmer compared to others. It’s just look so easy and natural for him. Cuz his overall movement looks a bit awkward, at times even a bit child-like still and u almost don’t expect to see something spectacular coming from him, but then u see him striking that ball... And u can tell that this kid is on different level👍
