Pretty much as the title suggests. I have had a number of requests for a follow-up and I finally got around to it.

I have this same model in both 9mm & 40 S&W. Much prefer the 40, only because it seems to hit harder. Those 180 grain cast bullets have taken prairie dogs at long range and are also extreme rock busters. I’ve never shot anything but reloads through mine. Ruger did a great job with the PC Carbine, I absolutely love them.

Purchased mine 1 week ago for $675.00 out the door and it is fun to shoot. I only shoot 124 grain ammo in mine. It did not like the 115 or 147 grain ammo that I had on hand.
@SuburbanRifleman9 ай бұрын
That seems like a great deal. 124s seem to be the ticket!

Was it reliable with the others?

I found mine runs a little smoother on the 115g.. I was very impressed, put an old 40 year old scope on it with a cheap set of rings, and at about 80 yds was knocking out 2x2 steel until it got boring ... Plinking was a blast!

Nice use of a 2nd camera for target view - really makes the shooting portion much more engaging to watch! Your camcorder did just fine for the picture-in-picture view, even if it was struggling just a bit on the 200 yd gong portion, you can see everything you need to appreciate the hits & misses. Also, I never thought about it before, but range videos have got to be the easiest subject matter for synchronizing multiple camera angles - just line up the "bangs" and you're done
@SuburbanRifleman9 ай бұрын
Yes. I just wish my camcorder and phone recorded at exactly the same rate. The bangs are definitely helpful though.

@@SuburbanRifleman Oh, yeah - frame rate conversion *should* just be a single step in your editing process, but I've definitely had trouble with longer videos not staying in sync even after conversion. Maybe an issue of 30 vs 29.97, etc. Still, worth the hassle for the added viewer interest, IMO.

@@CHChris definitely. I should probably not be a cheapskate and buy some decent editing software. I’m still using iMovie and it’s pretty good at most things but there is no automatic synching. I have to adjust the speed manually and it’s pretty cumbersome.

I bought the Ruger 9mm PCC this past summer, I have yet to shoot it tho. Thanks for the impetus!

You’re going to love it.

Lately, I've been wondering how the .45 Winchester Magnum pistol round would work in a PCC.
@SuburbanRifleman9 ай бұрын
That would be interesting.

Good stuff! I wonder how much more capable it will be at distance, if any, with a hotter ammo. Was that about 16" of drop from 25 yards to 200?
@SuburbanRifleman9 ай бұрын
I’d say about that. I was aiming at the bottom corner of the plate above the plate I was hitting. I have some NATO ammo that’s about like +P, I think. Maybe I’ll try some of that.

Thanks bro , appreciate it. I may just get one yet. Another cool one would be a side by side accuracy and penetration comparison (with no scope)with the M1 carbine. Also I just acquired a Gen 5 G19 and gotta say I like it so far. I seem to shoot it more accurately than any of my other auto pistols. Thanks again

My old man recently bought a new 1873 Winchester in .357. I think we will make a comparison of pistol caliber carbines, separated by 150 years of evolution. The M1 Carbine would also be a good comparison.

I have a request please. Could you do a video on your preferred African rifle, say medium to heavy sized plains game over longer distance, 300 yards. Springbuck, Impala and Blesbuck size up to Kudu and Wildebeest.
@SuburbanRifleman9 ай бұрын
I think that’s an excellent idea! I received really good advice on that very topic from a good friend of mine. I will start working on it.
@SuburbanRifleman9 ай бұрын
And then a few more videos to demonstrate.

Good accuracy at 200. What bird is making the noise at 9:40 ?
@SuburbanRifleman9 ай бұрын
It’s the blue jay. They are usually pretty solitary but when they are migrating (as they are now) they fly through in the dozens and make a hell of a racket.

How rude, to chat on the phone while your shooting! 😂
