I AGREE. 100% She has a major attitude. She still should be in prison. I feel sorry for the victim. She did not give her a sincere apology. I was like, is it just me, or does this woman have a "well I forgive myself sorry about u, type attitude?" I did my time. My life is good. Well, God bless u bc this poor lady's life will never be the same. She did forgive her whether she's sincerely sorry or not. So good for her. She may have to look at her face every day in the mirror with hurt & insecurity. However, the other woman has to live with what she did every day & look at herself in the mirror. It just wasn't a sincere apology. She had an attitude & didn't shed one tear. She got defensive when her & her mom were talking about it. She may be sorry or not. Only God knows that. Poor lady, tho. I feel for her. Sad.

SHE HAS BEEN SO REMORSEFUL! You must want her to be on her hands and knees or something. This happened when she was a CHILD. Shes done her time for it and everything. If the colors were reversed would you still feel the same? Hm? She’s on defense mode because she’s had to be since she was 14 years old. It’s not like she’s proud of it.

She needs to move on? Maybe in order to move on she needs her to first take accountability for her actions. She says she’s done her time but has she ever truly apologised and taken responsibility for her part in the incident and what was to come as a result of that? Probably not. Thats the real problem here and shows complete deflection

That part. Definitely not a sincere apology whatsoever. She had an attitude the entire time with a disgusted look on her face. Sad. The woman forgiving her is definitely a strong person to be able to sit in front of her & listen to "victim mentality" the entire time & still forgive her. The woman who did. Only cares about herself from the looks of it. Sad.

Yeah, she likely was thinking "I can't believe I did this." as she shook her head saying sorry. Or how about, she is having negative emotions about what she did, causing her to shake her head. It's actually more common to shake your head in these sort of situations. Shaking your head while saying "I love you" is also very common, usually because the emotion is so strong. They are not secretly thinking "I hate you". Try saying "I love you" while nodding, it even feels unnatural and untrue. She's still terrible though. I'm not defending her.

Really puts it into perspective. I think she was genuinely sorry, just not able to say it. Seemed like shes blocked out alot of it. If your 30+ i can imagine you dont remember all of your memories from age 14. I hardly remember some and im not even near age 30. I get where she's coming from though. I don't see how this is constructive at all. It's actually kind of sick how Phil brings these people together, clearly just for the drama and views. Them coming together isn't going to fix anything. The lady is correct. There is absolutely no way to move on. The only person you need to live with in this life is yourself. You have to come to grips and make peace with yourself. You can't force forgiveness or peace onto anyone else. What happened, happened. And this lady can't fix that. She can't go back in time.

It’s so easy to forgive yourself and tell other people to forgive YOU. You know what’s harder? Having to look in the mirror every day, seeing the result of what another person did. Having people point out your differences. Having to take surgeries TO THIS DAY because of the result of what another person did. And let’s be honest, she probably takes medication as well. it’s easy to say they should all “forgive” you but that’s honestly a selfish request considering that woman has to live with the consequences of another persons selfish actions.

However she remembered what happened the result of what she did is right there in front of her. It really angers me when people who have committed crimes say that God has forgiven them .. like it's okay now, that wipes it all clean .. and where does she get off of saying the victim should move on! I feel like they should operate on her to make her look exactly like her victim and let her live her life like Shawna has to.
