The red heart holds up real good.

Red Heart Super Saver is very rough, but it does soften up after washing. Red Heart Soft or Red Heart With Love are much softer, but there are not as many colors. I think Premier Basix or Premier Everyday Anti-Piling are much nicer & not too much more expensive :)

Red heart is what i used when i was learning to crochet. I don’t care for the way it feels either. Caron simply soft is cheap and oh so soft. It’s a better choice for me. Just found your channel. Thanks for sharing! 😀

I really like the peaches and cream stripy yarn. I use it a lot.😊 I have found that I don't mind the ombre red heart yarn. It seems better than the other red heart yarn.

My Walmarts have reduced the yarn aisle to a half aisle, on one side. The other side is yarn tools, embroidery floss, etc. Try the yarn at Walmart? I would, if they had any.

Yes, that blue Mainstay Sparkle yarn in blue is so pretty! They didn’t have that color when I was there or I would have gotten it. They only had two colors. But I think that is a great price of $2.98 for 251 yards! We like the same yarns! I like the color Mandala Ombre yarns you showed, the orange and one is so pretty as was the other one you picked up. Walmart does have a great price on those too. I also love the Peaches and Cream Stripey yarn . I think it is the softest cotton that creates a nice pattern when worked up for my pot holders or washcloths. I also really liked the Super Saver Bon Bon that you liked, and I made a small baby blanket, but it was still rough, to me , after washing. But I love all their colors. I have used their smaller skeins of striped yarns and some of them feel softer. But they are so much higher in price now than back when I bought them, TOO high I think. I used some to make granny squares and used as accent colors in hats, along with Caron Simply Soft yarn in a solid color that goes with it to make hats. Came out so good. My nephew won’t take his off, he wears it all the time, even for school pictures ❣️. It was in some blue with green striped color yarn and a tealy kind of solid blue that matched perfectly. I wonder what the Mainstay Chenille Yarn is like when it is worked up. It does feel sooo soft. I wanted to buy it, but it is expensive at 7.44 because you don’t get much yardage in super chunky. You would have to buy a lot to make a decent size blanket or throw blanket. I love that blue one too! Thanks for a great Walmart shopping trip. I love seeing all the yarn, and it’s fun to listen to your thoughts on them. 🧶🥰💕

Red heart gets softer with every wash or hand was with hair conditioner let it soak for a few minutes then rise and air dry

Red heart yarn has so many beautiful colors it’s just too bad that it’s so rough. People always say just wash it. I don’t wash my yarn before I use it. however, I have felt some super saver yarn that is much softer than others. The super saver ombre yarn seems to be a little softer!

In my humble opinion the best hooks are boye and hero I find they are smoother and I can crochet faster

Red he!rt yarn is very scratchy andit splits. Your store has a good choice. Remember it takes a lot to make a blanket , !
