In this video I give a tour of my shop, Alpha Motorwerks in Alhambra CA. This is my 3rd shop, and the smallest of them all. I show my excessive collection of hot wheels, used car parts, and even my most frequently used tools. Hope you enjoyed the video, and message me on Instagram @ShopLifeTV for any inquiries.

Thank you for this video! I am an English teacher here in France and had to have a lot of vocab to be taught and shown to my students. Your video is probably the only one I found that shows around and names tools, parts, sections and stuff.

Hey there, great shop tour vlog , And I liked your advice on not needing expensive tools to get the job done. As well as just buy tools as you need them.

Hey I have a 2000 BMW 323i like your white ones however it's four door and black. I was wondering what headlights you have? I've been wanting to upgrade to projectors and angle eyes.

Awesome shop, I love your channel! I’m about to fly out of state to purchase a 2005 330xi manual transmission with only 70k miles! I’m having a local BMW shop do a pre-purchase inspection when I get there and am curious of what I should make sure they look at? I’ve watched a lot of your common issues vids but I really want to communicate with this shop on the most important things to check out. Especially since I don’t know how detailed they can be without taking it apart. Also, what do you think this car is worth? I’ve agreed to pay $10k. I know that’s double the price of a lot of the e46’s but it has half the miles and the sport package and it’s the standard transmission. It came from a single owner that did all the maintenance at the BMW dealer and they have the maintenance records too. Thanks in advance for your advice!!

Not a professional just my opinion just owned a 335xi- Like most BMWs from that era you'll probably need to make sure it isn't leaking too bad, by that I mean it most likely has some oil leaks but its possible they've been replaced before. Check for valve cover especially on those cars I believe. Also check the CV boots on the front and rear of the car to make sure they aren't torn or leaking. Make sure your control arms are good and your oil pan gaskset, the pan gasket is a very expensive job on Xi cars and require alot of effort to DIY.

I am an automotive instructor with over 30 years in the automotive industry and more than 10 years teaching. I was looking for a video to show my students that would demonstrate a possible starting point in the industry for anyone looking to work independently. This was a great video for that purpose. One thing I decided to do was ask my students to note anything they felt was a safety hazard. Of course, all of them noted the sliders right away. They know that at no time do you wear sliders in a garage, whether the garage is open or not. Anyone thats ever stubbed a toe in their home, would know never to wear sliders in a garage. They also spotted the chemicals in the drawer, noting that the should be kept in a specialty cabinet. Overall, though, it was a good opportunity to look at the avenue you took, and to discuss the opportunity after the video.
