The new FLEX FX1451 24V Mid Torque Impact Wrench boasts 750 ft-lbs of breakaway or nut-busting torque. We will definitely see about that claim. This is the first mid-torque impact wrench for the FLEX brand. You get 3 speeds and an Auto mode with a max of 3,100 IPM (Impacts Per Minute). This new FX1451 mid-torque impact is due to start shipping around the first of July 2023. Prices are $199 for the bare tool and $299 for the FX1451, a single 5.0Ah battery, 160W fast charger, and a nylon bag. FLEX covers the tool, battery, and charger with their 5-year warranty.

been waiting for this one. Acme actually has the 3.5 stacked kit for 299 with a free 5.0ah regular lithium. no brainer.

Absolutely. The m18 fuel mid torque is usually $250 bare tool. Flex not only has more balls but a better value 👌

using a coupon at acme will remove the free battery from your cart. personally i got a dewalt DCF900, it was on sale bomgaars for $200 with a 5ah battery. while i do realize that the dcf900 is a full size impact while this is a smaller lighter mid torque, i couldn't say no to $200

Impressive little bugger. The one thing i think they should have done differently, on the auto, in reverse, it should just slow down after it stops impacting and not stop all together, cause it wont take the fastener out/off, youd still have quite a bit of turning to do to get the fastener out/off. Or even if it stopped but you could press the trigger again and it would slowly spin it out/off, but that may be asking for a bit much. But ya it shouldnt just completely stop. Other than that, its a pretty sweet little beast

You should have tried the 3.5 Ah stacked lithium. Also can you redo the Flex high torque now that you have the newer torque wrench. It would be cool seeing it’s smackeroo limit.

I liked my first 891 so much i got a second. But that flex isn't far behind. I'd rec Dewalt but you cant go wrong with either.

Damn, impressive that both the Kobalt, which broke 1,000 ft-lbs, and now the flex-breaking 950 ft-lbs, are both made by Chervon. The top two mid-torques tested on Shop Tool Reviews, in regards to breaking torque. Chervon, putting the big dogs on notice.

DcF891 also broke 1000 ft lbs and is in reality more powerful than both of these tools.

@Juan C I saw the dcf 891 break 900 ft lbs, not 1,000, which is still great. In all actuality, the Kobalt and the Flex are more powerful than the dcf891.

@@seatownchris206 TTC channel dyno numbers. DcF891 best case scenario, 620 ft lbs with a 5ah 18650 cell battery. Kobalt KIW 124B-03 best case scenario 486 ft lbs with its 24v 4ah battery. As you can see 620 ft lbs is a greater number than 486 ft lbs. By a difference of 134 ft lbs. Giving the dewalt a significant advantage. It turns out that the use of a dyno is much more consistent than the use of bolts and fasteners that might be subject to environmental condition and tester biases. For example in this video I would of failed this tool at 900 ft lbs, as he held it way wayyyy past the ten second mark with no indication of movement. This makes these results more of a guideline and not scientifically as repeatable when you use a calibrated tool, instead.

@Juan C tti is a joke! Their method is ridiculous, hence the reason almost no tools come close to the manufacturer's specs, and I trust their testing methods more than some hokey methods created by KZfaqrs. I trust Shop Tool Review far more than tti. His method is far more accurate, and straightforward without all the gimmicks, Amazing how many tti fanboys there are. I guess people like all their kiddie color charts, and the "scientific" cough....means of giving points for each feature to determine the BEST tools. Not to mention, almost all impacts they test show more torque in forward than reverse, which tells me all I need to know about their methods. 🤣

@Juan C and regarding the 900 ft-lb test, it was moving before the 10-second mark. I initially thought the same thing, but then I zoomed in and rewatched several times, and saw that it was moving at about the 6-second mark. What proof do you have that the tester isn't legit? Of course, the tti guys are totally legit, to you.
