Shore Fishing the Oregon Coast! (Jumbo Perch)

6 жыл бұрынOregon Coast, Day 6: The last day of my trip was so beautiful. Rainy weather drove all of the other tourists away to where I had the entire beach to myself! Caught some nice surf perch fishing a 5 inch grub among the rocks! Saw starfish, crabs and sea anemones and even some elk along the road! It was a great way to end the trip!

Fiberglass fishing rod, Monofilament line, your my hero. I still use Monofilament and fiberglass rods (Lamiglas, Fenwick) also.

Oh Indian beach huh ... There are some nice Mussels on those rocks too, makes for great bait , as do those little crabs.. Actually the surf perch on the Oregon coast are not that big compared with other parts of the country, but there still good eats ... Those rocks on the left hand side of that beach produce good fish too.. Glad you had a great time ...

surf perch aren't a type of rockfish but ya rockfish are hiding usually under coks

Looks super fun. I fish for fall chinook and I’ve caught those fish actosdently. I never tryed fishing the surf. 🙂

Nice catches, one hint if you're on the rocks on the Oregon coast you're never safe. I've been standing in a foot of water turn my back on the ocean for a second turn back around to a 6-foot wall of water

hi ace im going out there this thanksgiving and my gma has a devils lake shorehouse and i got a fishing license for there. last time i went there i caught some sculpin, 1 trout, 1 bass, and lost a lot more
