Shorebird photography is so much fun. It might be my favorite birds to photograph. So every year I just have to go to the coast when the shorebirds starts to migrate. My tips for this type of bird photography is to use a form of camouflage, and lay down low to get that eye level pictures. I use a atomos ninja v+ to show you my settings on the go.

Very beautiful and nice to get away from those talking head videos that tell us what gear we should buy but just show us pictures from the local zoo. I really look forward to using your techniques in the field although laying face down gets harder with age [ i am 63].

Great video! I always start to giggle when taking pictures of plovers. When they looking straight into your camera they look super grumpy and when they rotating their head just a tiny bit they look uber cute.

I recently took a picture of a "Common sandpiper" and i spotted it the day before and it was really shy and flew away the second i walked. And the morning after i was lying in the sand waiting for something to show up and to my surprised it did, and it slowly but surely walked towards me and i got really nice shots. When you are still and relaxed, the animals are relaxed and can also become curious, and that is the key to taking nice shots. And i didn't even have to use a hide!
