@hudsonquay 2 жыл бұрын
@@volkert7775 You get a few Bronze Whalers but they don't bother you really unless like Ollie you've just speared a fish then they can get a bit feisty. Seen an Orca in that bay chasing a ray but they're harmless to people. We're lucky here in NZ that shark attacks are extremely rare.

I've been doing some lately, had some big ones, they're beautiful if they're bled, hung, salted and marinated for a couple days prior to smoking (I didn't even have to get wet lol). Excellent as always anyway mate. Have fun.

Great video, that's one hell of a snapper too. Quick question - after you shot the first fish and you were waiting for the burley to bring in fish and you're above the water talking to the camera with no mask on, how come you aren't worried about sharks coming in for a look? I'd always be conscious of anything coming in! Thanks!

@@olliecraig-primalpursuit..appreciate the way you explain things on your vids for us newbies. It really helps. Is low tide best time to spear fish as that's when you headed out on this mission??

@@craigmills7280 hey mate every spot works differently and even the same spot can be hot or cold depending on moon phases/time of year so may factors. In summary you just need to find what works best at your local spots and dial them in. In gereral however, most spots works on an incoming tide in my opinion
