Two types of disability insurance policies are short-term and long-term disability. These are important policies to have as they can protect your income when you become unable to work. In this video, we discuss what happens if you file a short-term disability claim but receive a denial and still want to file a long-term disability claim.
Long-term disability benefits can protect a person's pre-disability earnings when they cannot work for an extended time. It is a separate claim from short-term disability, so claimants may wonder if they are still eligible to file a claim for long-term disability, especially if the same insurance company administers both.
