Shotgun Mounting Drill for More Consistent Shooting | Shotgun Tips with Gil Ash

One of the core concepts taught by Gil and Vicki Ash of OSP Shooting School is that shotgun shooters should regularly practice their move and mount to increase their consistency on the course. This mounting drill with a flashlight will help you keep the muzzle in line with the target throughout your move and mount.

* Why 4 years. Your off hand, the one holding the forearm is pointed toward the target while at the same time your shooting hand raises the gun stock to your face. Both hands doing two separate motions, but in concert with each other. Fly fishermen can relate to this duel hand action.

Can you mount the gun properly for a quartering or crossing shot while sitting on a Dove bucket in the dove field?
