As long as you can understand what character they are rendering, *it's a fine line*, I don't have a problem with it.

As for letting writers change character- If the writer has actually made a name for themselves they can be given some leeway but new writers should have to have changes approved by editors. (A guy like Geoff Johns vs someone that has never written a comic before.)

Thor hasn't been right since Defalco was the writer with some brief exceptions.
