I think if the game went free to play and all of the issues were addressed then the game would totally rebound, maybe even better than when it was new. Definitely would love to see community skins with creators getting a cut but this is sadly EA were talking about and id be worried if the cosmetics system were to be changed, it would be for the worse and more like Apex

It's practically free, being on Gamepass on Xbox and currently $5.99 for the ultimate edition on The PlayStation store. However, that would help bring in a lot of new people. They should have a ranked section for experienced pilots and pubs for the newbies. My wish is they release the complete edition where all maps from Titanfall 1 and 2 would be available with the ability to make custom playlists and vote on next match.

yes, but when mp_box gameplay ( day 8 ) Why You Should Play Mp_Box By cat_or_not : As all we know mp_box is the BEST map ever because of its great features like ramps, tunnels and one way walls. The ramps in mp_box add a lot of verticality to titan gameplay. The tunnels are great repositioning tools for pilots so you can hide from titans. The one way walls are the probably the best feature ( even thought I want to remove them ) because of the fact that they allow you to trick your enemy with more style. With all of this said I hope you would join the mp_box enjoyer club tomorrow.

I don't think titanfall should be free to play. It practically already is on xbox with game pass, and while we have an extra 2-3 thousand more players during peak hours, that's about it. All I think it would do is give respawn a green light for a battle pass model for TF3 if they ever decided to make it, and then it'd just be more of the same. I wouldn't put it past them to lock certain pilot and titan classes behind a paywall if it ever came to that. I think the only thing that will give Titanfall the recognition it deserves is a full-fledge sequel with as much love put into it as the game before. A F2P model update for TF2 now would just spoil any chance of that happening, if it isn't already.

I don’t think new players will stick to this game as long as there’s no “safe learning area” where you can play against people of similar skill level, like the RS:Siege Newcomer playlist.

If they made it free to play, which would be amazing, we will no longer need to pay for the Xbox pass or ps+ (which is not needed for the free games) and it's something that, as a console player, really matters a lot because those prices are really high and there's not enough players to actually play the game. I don't even want the solo campaign to be free to play, because I would be willing to pay for it, but if they could make an economy like in apex based around cosmetics and some kind of battle pass, maybe it would be more beneficial for them (they definitely would make more money than just selling the game, I think). Titanfall 2 is a masterpiece and the multi-player is one of the best I have ever played with, it's so unique that it hurts to see that the game is just left to rotten in its corner. If there was more players, then maybe respawn would consider fixing the servers, which could be so fucking good. Really hope that this dream would come true, because I miss this game and the fun that comes from playing it.

I think they should reserve free to play for if they plan to reboot the franchise with a third entry, cause when they released it with ps plus the playerbase skyrocketed. It would be a good tool to gain interest in the franchise and then announce they're making a third. But if they're going to keep with apex and just milk that for money then they should at least give us the free to play so that the community has a playerbase. Owe us that after how little they cared about the shambles they let the game fall into.

Honestly respawn is a gaming company but also a business in the way they run their company, so whatever makes them the most money is what they put their time into. I love Titanfall with a burning passion I never was a Titanfall 1 player but I played the hell out of 2. But from a realistic expectation the game is 6 years old, the graphics are dated, most of the mp modes no one plays,(or you have to wait an exceedingly long time to find a match), and the fact that respawn and ea basically abandoned it makes people who played not even want to take a second look at it. Is the movement great it's the best movement in a mper shooter. Are the guns fun yes they are very fun. But even as a lover of tf2 no one is gonna come back to it unless they either make a new one (which I don't believe it's in production) or the series gets a re work similar to overwatch. I pray for the day when I can look forward to instant qs and new Titanfall, but until then we just have to appreciate that we have Northstar and console generally working

Respawn are gonna have to fix the servers before they do that. Though I have little faith in them taking the time to re-release this game as a free to play title when their cash cow, and Titanfall 2's cousin, is getting all the love.

If I had the choice to choose between titanfall 2 or apex i would absolutely choose titanfall . Even though its 30 bucks and the servers are not stable but it's just a lot lot funner than apex. I own titanfall 2 myself and just enjoy playing it . Sadly I' on xbox so I wont be able to have acces to these awesome new mods and cosmetics rn. I wish we could. Awesome channel great work

Titanfall 2 WAS my favorite games for years. The project northstar mods are fun, but flashy mods won't save this game. Project Northstar is full of hackers, and there's not enough people trying to catch and ban them.

I don’t think the game should go f2p. Even if Respawn came back to it the qualities of the game would be completely lost. Plus the legendary edition of the game is constantly on sale for like $2. The game is already beyond a steal. But the patterns we’ve seen of f2p games should be seen as a warning. I’d rather this beautiful game die as a legend rather than have a bunch of newly hired Apex devs come back to massacre it.

The base game already has microtransactions, so goin f2p can actually be very beneficial. And better yet, the transactions are no more than 5 dollars each, you get a good amount for your payment, AND there is no RNG; you GET what you PAY FOR.

Wouldn't hacking be much much worse then what it is? Got banned? New account. Yes you can't avoid hackers but it would make it worse. The other f2p games have some sort of anti cheat but considering that this game is abandoned it would be terrible.
