We've been full time in our 33 year old RV since April. The plus sides: No mortgage to pay, we have the freedom to come and go when ever and where ever we like. I'm married to my best friend and we still like each other. The RV life may have actually saved my life because I was becoming a couch potato. I get to walk Pickles 2-3 times a day for a mile or two each time (I don't think I ever walked that much while I was in the Army) I'm retired so money comes in twice a month, no matter where we're at. DOWN SIDES... LOT RENTAL; even sitting at "home Base" we still live in the RV so we still need to get fresh water and dump out tanks, so we have to pay for that. Propane lasts anywhere from 2 weeks in the winter to 3 months in the spring/summer. Our "House" only gets 6 1/2 miles to the gallon. The toilet/ bathroom in ours is kinda small but the doors close and lock. I do most of my own repairs but pay for oil changes. You never own an RV... living full time in an RV.... IT OWNS YOU!

Couldn't have put it better! The RV definitely owns us. 😅 It's an amazing life of freedom, but all the little costs can quickly add up. Glad to hear y'all are having a blast with your pup on the road. We imagine Pickles is loving the walks as much as you are. ❤️ Hope winter treats you all well!

Hi guys, a few thoughts: 1. For the winter, go where it’s warmer. 2. Stay at each place a week or two (you don’t get so much travel fatigue & have more time to explore) 3. Try staying at State Parks or Core of Engineer Parks (both may not have sewer at your site so you get a Blue Tote. Sites are alot cheaper and beautiful) 4. Maybe spend Christmas with family to rest & take a break. 5. THEN go to warmer states and truly enjoy the winter months in the trailer. Traveling fulltime, even for a few months at a time can be sooooo much🤗🤗

Go back to the old Endless Adventures. Please show us quaint B&Bs, country inns, wineries, luxury hotels, homestays, quirky art hotels, and the like. Much more interesting for your viewers IMHO, and likely cheaper for you guys. US RVs are made to travel to one or two locations every year and park. Most won’t stand up to 24/7/365 use. Do yourself a favor, and get rid of constant repairs, showers that take quarters, smells, outrageous campground charges, malfunctioning engines, head bumps, dodgy doors, and the tedium of hookups and emptying sewerage every day. You deserve to use toilets you can flush and forget!

If you can get through the winter and make it that far without Clementine, you'll have it made when you get her back to finish your quest! Things will be waaaayyy easier when you get her back! You can do it! Don't quit!!

Thanks for the encouragement! We're getting closer and closer to getting our ol' gal back, but it's hard not to get frustrated and impatient. We're very thankful to have the chance to take out this trailer and truck though...it's been a blast learning how to drive such a different rig, but most importantly, we're loving not having to constantly worry about it breaking down 🙃 Hopefully once they're done with Clementine, she'll be just as reliable as our truck! 🤞🤞

The best thing to do about the clutter problem is to make sure everything has its place and to make sure you put it there as soon as your done with it…just like living in a tiny house (which is exactly what you are doing)this is the key to keeping it up so it doesn’t feel like you’re constantly “spring cleaning “

When we did vanlife we had the same problems, granted we never used our wet bath in our class b and we used an electric heater in the winter, we mostly stayed in state parks and Koa's and we traveled in two vehicles, it got really expensive. Now we prefer rental cars and hotels. Van life was fun . But it got old quickly.

Love you guys! Like so many others have said your journey with clementine and RV life is both a inspiration and comfort to us! We found y'all while we were looking into our trailer and were able to gain to confidence to commit through your experiences. FT life is not glamorous, and it can be very frustrating. Opening up about it validates all of our experiences so thank you, I much appreciate it. It's nice to know that you're not alone in your struggles, whatever they may be. I think seasons are going to play a big role in how content we are in our rigs, last winter was rough and this one almost seems worse off, but it's the best decision we could've made for ourselves at the time. I'm happy to have some place to call home

Glad to hear we're not the only ones struggling sometimes. Hopefully winter is too terribly brutal for you all this year. It'll be our first full-time winter and we're pretty nervous about it too...the cold's barely begun but it's been pretty rough already. Definitely not looking forward to many more months of it. 😅 But like you, we love having a home, so we're trying to see it all as an exciting learning and growing experience :)

Our original plan was to be full time rvers for 5 yrs but by Year 3, I wanted to stop. The cost of repairs and maintenance, the constant moving from one campground to another, the close quarters of many rv sites that made me feel like we had no privacy were the top 3 reasons we stopped. Sold the motorhome and are much happier. If we go on the road again, we’ll rent one for a weekend or a week.
@Theendlessadventure

We definitely hear that. We stayed in one of our tightest spots last night and I swear we could hear our neighbor's tv playing, even with our heater humming fairly loudly! 😅 It's great that you got to experience RV for a while, and I'm sure it makes you appreciate your home even more now. Glad you still get out on the road every now and then - it's such a fun way to travel when it's quicker trips 😊

I suggest getting a Blue Boy (I think it's called - a portable waste tank), as this will make your stay much easier and more enjoyable. That way, if you realise that your black tank's full after you hook up, like you did, you can just pull out the Blue Boy, connect it to your valves, empty your tanks and then transport your Blue Boy to the nearest dump station without needing too hook up and move your RV. Just store it in the bed of your Ute (truck). Remember to get one big enough to hold the entire contents of your grey and black tanks so that you're not going back and forth.

Welcome to life on the road. All the things you were talking about brought back memories when I think about now (A couple of decades later) fondly. At the time It felt like a never-ending struggle. In a way, you have got it made. The two of you aren't trying to live together in a 67-inch by 102-inch windowless truck sleeper. No sleep, eating very unhealthy food while paying $10m a day or a shower and having to wait for an hour for your turn No sightseeing, just constant driving. One thing about it you will look back one day with a smile on your face remembering all these times through rose-colored glasses. If you let it dealing with all these issues will make you a stronger person and give you experience handling things that will help you survive this crazy life for the remainder of your time here. Good luck, enjoy

We live in Central MA! Looking forward to seeing where you're headed, and hope you have a great visit! On travel woes: Staying longer in one place if possible can really help a lot with "moving day irritation", and the cool thing is, you can decide how long is long enough by experimenting with it. Maybe try 3-4 days in one place to see how doing so makes moving day feel. If moving day feels better than it does after 1 day's stay, 3-4 days might be your "current style" ... if moving day still feels cumbersome after 3-4 days, the informational value is the same: adapt by staying 5-6 days if possible, and assessing the feel of moving day again.... rinse and repeat until it feels good. lol

Slow down and smell the coffee. I think when you have Clementine and Ruby back you will be far more relaxed and get back to the fun stuff. I call it living life at 1/3rd the size... Most of my videos I don't hide much of the down sides of full time RV life. Here lately, it's been go camp, break the RV, limp home, fix it and then repeat! I wouldn't trade it for anything though. Now add in a puppy who was never meant to grow very big (who now seems the size of Marmaduke!) We often stay by our daughters house between trips out. Thanks for doing what you do, it sure makes me feel good about what we do!

We lived in a 5th wheel for about two years, one of it was a year trip around the US. It was supposed to be longer but after pulling into Key West for the winter I realized I didn’t want to do it anymore. We sold our truck and trailer and rented a car to get “home.” All your mishaps/adventures/complaints I can completely relate to and is part of the reason we quit. We are in Europe now and when we get back we are looking at buying another trailer. I guess we didn’t learn our lessons. Have fun and enjoy making memories.

Hahaha! Sounds just like us! If we ever "quit" I imagine our story would be very similar to yours... We'd go travel for a while and then probably go buy another vintage RV/trailer, accidentally spend another year or two of our lives renovating it, then start traveling all over again until we "quit" again 🤣🤣 But that's part of the fun of life, right?! Hopefully this next chapter of RV life is bigger and better than your first 🙌

Thanks Erika! We're sure gonna miss all the beautiful mountains, water and forests in the northeast, but the cold and snow you guys get is a bit too terrifying for us. We'll happily come back in the warmer months though 😊

Hey y'all🙋‍♀️ Your content is so refreshingly real! So for me, no matter where you go, no matter what you do, it truly is an endless Adventure for Eric and Allison, and all of us fortunate viewers! Your little Charlie Brown tree is so adorable, you can pick up really cute decorations for it at the Dollar Tree! Allison you are in truly magnificent shape, I cannot believe the dedication you have, going as far as working out inside the trailer! I think I'd have to go outside no matter the weather LOL😅🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♀️ ( Eric you don't get a lifting weights emoji, I don't believe I remember seeing you do it LOL)😅🤭 Love y'all & Happy Holidays🎄❣

Haha, ya he used to lift weights inside with me every now and then, but like you he much prefers big, open spaces. So if he can't get out for a run, he doesn't really workout anymore lol. In his defense, he's a bit bigger than me, so he was mostly just punching and kicking all our walls and doors and it was doing more harm than good 🤣🤕

I have a new nice fifth wheel. It is fun and exciting for vacations, but like any vacation, it is nice to get back home. I personally have to have a full size home as my permanent home while spending time in our camper.

You guys can save money by staying on public lands and not moving as often...We are a year into full-time in our Truck Camper and theres alot of ways to save on the road. Packing and moving everyday and staying in campgrounds getsexpensive QUICK.

Try doing the warmer states in the winter. We have been full time in our RV for going on 7 years and we love it. We have saved over $46,000 a year. You can save money by cooking more in the RV (buy a air fry convection oven) it saves your propane . Park occasionally in store parking lots like, Walmart, Bucees, Cracker Barrel, etc.

Top tip: Please don’t use the 4 corner steadies to level the van, they’re not meant for that, they are for stabilisation only, once the van is level. Damage to the chassis or van floor could happen if you attempt to jack up the van using the steadies. You should use ramps under the wheels for side-to-side levelling and (as you have correctly done) the jockey wheel for front-to-back adjustments.

True…they are just to keep the camper from shaking/feeling bouncy when you walk, or in the case of a little pop up…they will keep it from tipping over once the beds are put out…lol….but they are definitely not lifting/leveling jacks

I can’t believe you’re still up north in winter. Good vid though to give ppl a realistic heads-up of what to expect.

So it would be just as cost effective to drive a SUV to hotels instead of RV. You cant find those awesome spots in a hotel but during the winter it might be cheaper to go from hotel to hotel and then day trips to site seeing locations for content. I was all set to buy an RV and did the finance of it and I can stay at nice hotels for the cost. That or just rent an RV for times where you can use it in NON winter times.
