So I use the grizzly after raid instead therapist, because out of raid healing xp and the fact it takes up 4 slots.

i keep a grizzly in my secure, and a cheese in my pockets. i use the cheese for healing "just my arm" and grizz for everything else.

I keep a Grizzly in my Gamma as a "Oh shit I forgot to restock on meds." and then I don't have constant restock my Gamma meds.

I always run with Grizzly and CMS in my Secure. Nothing else needed, super cheap because of the reusability.

I always use it if I have space for it, I am lazy and it's easier to buy one thing for everything then buying lots of things for each situation

Remember the game was originally teased for Open World; where players would have to travel across multple locations before reaching a hideout. Essentially the Grizzly to me will be the go-to for Open World as bringing 2-3-4 Salewa is far less feasible than a single Grizzly. Having to traverse multiple Raid locations with a single loadout will make the Grizzly a more prominent go to kit for Raiders.

The reason I wouldn’t run a grizzly would be that it’s hard to swap it out of the secure container for more expensive items and still hold onto meds unless you’re running a big rig or have a backpack that you’d sacrifice loot space for.

I ended up using grizzlies to heal after raid. I found that healing with that was more cost effective than applying health to your character in post raid menus. The size and use time deterred me from actually bringing them into raid once other options were available to me.

I think that early wipe or if you don’t have a lot of money and you keep your meds in your container, the grizzly is the best one because it will do everything for you no extra heals needed other than a surgery kit

Grizzley is the best, perfect setup is grizzly, and CMS kit in your gamma (don't need survival kit just CMS as grizzly heals fracture) and then a propital in your pocket tied to a hotkey for combat healing.

I love the grizzly, but since I have a standard account I can't afford to give up four slots in my epsilon just for heals. I need to have room for my docs Case, surgery kit, three slots of meds, and one slot of ammo, quest items, xrsu, etc.. if I had a gamma container, I'd be running the grizzly all day though

the fact that you can animation cancel with the grizzy to heal quicker is really nice (as long as you dont have any extra injuries like bleeds or fractures)

Recently i had a couple friends get tarkov, i just give em grizzly kits much easier to teach a guy to use one thing in raid instead of like four different items 🤯

This has definitely got me thinking, ive recently been winning more of my fights this wipe and often find myself extremely overweight at the end of a raid, thinking a grizzly might be a good move for me so i can replace my alu splint with a mule stim in my container

btw the 175 max hp heal is also with heavy bleeds. meaning if you get a heavy bleed and heal it it will also heal the 45 health to the part where Ifak or selewa wont

I bring a grizzly, usually. For one, before I'd bring two salewas, hemostat, multi-use splint, and an ifak, or 7 squares worth of meds excluding painkillers, all for a total of ~2kg. Grizzly brings that down to 1.6kg and 4 squares, on top of being much cheaper (~30-35k compared to on average of 70k for other med loadout) while giving you a larger med pool. Brings down the cost for a loadout overall while raising potential profitability of a raid by at least 60k.

I said for a long time when I played several wipes ago that it was the best healing item by far, not great for players like me that die 95% of their raids but for anyone confident enough to survive several raids in a row it's amazing.

Therapist LVL2 is a barter trade with 1x Gas analyser (10k-15k) and 1x uv lamp (5k-10k). I use this everytime :)

I mean, grizzly really is the ultimate budget heal item in the game. Only bad thing about it is that you kinda need a gamma container, since you'll still need a docs case at the very least, not to mention cms, painkiller & ammo. Its a good item to combo with cheese.

I personally been using grizzly since the introduction of heavy bleeding because: 1-2x2 put in a black rock (same as a salewa,splint and a hemostat) 2-i can use it for 2-4 raids or 1 very intense raid 3-more cost effective compared to other meds for healing points 4-more convenient since it's a one item fits all injury types And it's also very quick if it's in your rig and u cancel the animation with a double mouse click

The use time isn't the duration of the whole animation, its only the time it takes while actually healing, i think that's something a lot of people don't realize

FYI, the use time isn't the same as the true animation time. As in the time it takes to do everything from pulling the meds out to the point of pulling your gun back out. Most of the 3s use times are actually 5s. It's something worthwhile to check out.

for me it's about the size and value. I will drop my meds if there are high value items I want to put in my secure container, but the Grizzly can complicate that. If I need 1 extra slot, I will drop a hemostat or IFAK without thinking twice, but drop a brand new Grizzly is another story.

Alu, Hemostat, Ifak/Afak take up 3 slots. Grizzly takes up 4. lets say you have an alpha container and loot a safe. if you find a bitcoin then what do you do? In the grizzly situation, you move it out and put the bitcoin in and have three slots still free in your alpha. but with the afak, alu, and hemo, you already have a free space so just immediately put the bitcoin in. lets say you find another thing, you can just move the hemostat out since it's only 4k per slot cost. having multiple items allows for easier item tetris. Also, if you have to heal all your limbs with meds, thats 5 seconds per limb vs 3 seconds per limb. so with head, thorax, stomach, left/right arms, and left/right legs, that's 7 limbs. 7 times 5 is 35 seconds vs 7 times 3 which is 21 seconds. to full heal in that situation takes a full 14 seconds longer with a grizzly and that doesn't include the animation time to bring it out and put it away. I put a lot of value into saving space when I can so that's why I prefer to not use a grizzly, but it really depends on what someone values.

If you animation cancel, the grizzly's only real downsides are the loud zipper, and the 2x2 slot.

Unless you need fix a bleed or broken bone, you can always cancel the heal early, and because 170 over 5 seconds(34 hp/s) is better than 85 over 3(28.3 hp/s) or 50 over 3 (16.7 hp/s), you will actually heal faster in every situation using a Grizzly. just hot key it and double click to cancel once that particular part of your body is healed up. Hemostat + Alu Splint + Salewa/2 iFAK's is the same space and cost (approximately) as a Grizzly. Really no reason to not run one. Grizzly + Propital in rig, E-GTC in secure container is how I run most of my kits. Early wipe, where I have spare space from lack of keys, I only keep an IFAK and a hemostat in my rig, ALU splint in container with a surv kit or similar. I keep a grizzly+CMS in my gamma religiously. GRIZZLY is amazing for situations when you have multiple wounds on one limb (bleeding+fractures for example), where you hit use once and it heals all those damages. I don’t find the space to be a problem because when I find better stuff in raid I just drag my grizzly in my backpack.

I've been the main grizzly user of my squad. With that said your comments about that extra 2 seconds in a fight could feel like ages AAAND the panic healing.... F. Amazing video as usual Jesse.

I put the grizzly in my gamma just to always have meds and saving room for other things in my gamma instead of having more meds fill it up.

The value of the Grizzly is crazy. I use this to heal if I die in raid. If you pick up one for 35k the healing is much cheaper than therapist. Once you run the durability down to about 400-600, you will, have made your money back and have a free med to stuff in an umka for a raid that heals everything.

AI2 and Propital for healing in firefights. Grizzly in lockbox, IFAK or Salewa in rig, decide what to use depending on the situation. Means you have the ability to outheal pretty much anyone else in raid, especially if you get a Raider or two and get some extra Morphine or meds. Been keeping a Grizzly in my lockbox for ages.

The cancel is not a bug from my understanding as it can be done with any of the 'healing' meds. When have around 40 missing from a body part, you usually only need to wait until the 'healing' part of the animation plays and right/left click to cancel and it will have healed that portion - basically it seems that the 'entire' animation is for applying that full amount (max) healing and it isn't that the health is added pop animation it is 'heal over time.' It's just that the 'over time' is the duration of the animation for the most part. My main issue with the griz is the sound it makes. The ifak and salewa, feel quieter and the cancel does not require 'zipping up' with the salewa. I could be wrong overall, but the zipping sound I feel like it drowns out some of my surroundings.

That's really interesting! Maybe put the grizzly in the gamma or BP and some small fast stuff in the pockets like bandages and cheese for in-fight heals

Thanks for making this video. I wasn't aware of all the capabilities for the grizzly media kit. I've been using it but have been bring in other things like splints because I wasn't informed about this.

I've ran one since they added heavy bleeds. Just so useful. No more splints, bandage, or Hemostat.

Stash it In the gamma, keep a Ai2 and propitol on your hotkeys for mid combat healing as those are both crazy fast. Then use the grizzly once the coast is clear to heal yourself up on the cheap and efficient.

It's the space used for me. I run morphine, hemostat, military bandage, and alu splint in the pockets, then an afak, golden star, and surv12 in the gamma. Leaves space for a clip and sicc case in the gamma

so 4 spaces for a grizzly and an extra 2 or 3 space (depending on the kit) for the surgery kit? Listen, I get the point and I'm almost sold on this idea but 2 spaces for CMS + 2 spaces for Salewa + 1 space for Alu. Splint + 1 space for Hemostat would be more efficient space when you have Alpha or Gamma. If I had Kappa, I would def carry the grizzly but for now, for the shoving it up my ass's sake, i'll keep my loadout :D Always appreciate your content Jess! Keep up the great work

You should put out a survey on everything tarkov to find what the meta is for everything from loadouts, what people bring as far a mess, etc

It would be really cool and realistic if they added separate healing animations for all the different body sections and using the right medical gear for each different type of injury

It's also worth mentioning the barter trade with therapist for the grizzly. One gas analyzer and a UV lamp is really cheap. Gas an for around 12,500 looking right now, and the UV lamp is going for 10,000 ish so 22,500 roubles by buying the barter items on flea and trading, ends up stupid cheap. I had to buy a bunch to powerlevel Vitality so I used that trade pretty often. Great vid though.

Neat thing with the Grizzly is that if you're only healing damage and don't have to heal bleeds or fractures, you can cancel the animation partway through, save yourself more time than you would using an IFAK, and you're stilly fully healed. Once the healing starts ticking it ticks FAST. Soon as that limb's in the green again just left click and you put the kit away.

The grizzly has saved my ass many times when I was shot in the stomach, it was blacked, I was starving and dehydrated, and limping to extract. It has been the only thing that has kept me alive multiple times.

I run grizzlies. The problem i run into is keeping it in my secure container. Hemostat and painkillers in pocket for on the fly heal, and when I get cover, grizzly. It definitely makes run extra ammo in secure harder.

Always been rocking the Grizzly medkit. I do pair it with a hemostat to extend the Grizzly health points.

I suppose 175 max heal on the Grizzly makes sense because it takes 130, 50 and 40 for heavy bleeds, fractures and light bleeds respectively. So in theory you won't always be able to fully heal a body part on the first use.

Everyone's biggest concern is the use time but you can literally cancel the animation after the heal applies. To be fair though it's very convenient to have other stuff. If you got a Hemo with one use or something I swap that to my inventory and put a fresh one in my gamma

What a coincidence, i started putting one in my secure case today on my interchange raids. Got tired of buying all the different meds and after realizing everything the grizzly heals, I was sold. Saves precious space(when in the secure container) and saves the time when trying to get back into raid.

I recently just noticed myself picking up my homies grizzly that it has a super fast cancel time like the salewa. So rather than me taking in 15k splints, 5k hemos, 25k salewa, ill take in a 20k grizzly even at 700 and run it to the ground. The cancel times are super fast so you don’t sit there for frigging ever

Did you know: You can actually cancel healing animations, making them shorter! Doesn't work on cms, surv and splints I think

I use a grizz as back up in my case usually. 1800 points of heal will get you out of most pickles after a fight

I don’t know if you did, but the barter for the grizzly is amazing. UV Lamp (10k) + Gas analyzer (13k) = 23k. Just run it in an umka rig for a budget.

I think that the main problem is that most people dont have a gamma or kappa container and put the grizzly in the rig could be a great loss of money (if you die a lot). If you have a gamma or kappa container is q great idea to bring a grizzly with you

I only survive 38% of my raids, so 6/10 times I'd need to buy a fresh grizzly to go in, unless I put the grizzly in my container. And if it's in my container, swapping things out for valuables becomes a challenge. I'll probably stick with the "regular" meds setup.

For all Meds afaik , you dont really have to finish the animation. Once the green bar is complete just spam left click and it will cancel out the animation but not the healed body

I've been running a grizzly for a day or two now and I only did it because I could toss one in my black rock and not have to worry about meds the rest of the raid. Whereas before I would burn through 2/3 IFAKS/salewa's, but now I don't worry about it. Definitely better and worth the money IMO (if you can survive raids, as he said in the video).

Grizzly is definetly worth it. For normal healing it doesnt waste time with the interruption of the animation. I honestly use it all the time and it really cut down my healing cost. Tho i often still take hemos so i can get rid of the heavy bleed directly when needed.

Jesse this is honestly my favorite video right now. This made me feel like I did last wipe when I learned the game and every video I watched I had something brand new in mind to change. I don’t have as much to change nowadays but rather improve so this adds a fun new spin on it. I’m going to run it in every 4 slot rig till we wipe - thanks again for the amazing breakdown

Our whole group runs Grizzlys. WE allways bring one in the secure container. Everyone who has a GAma or a Kappa container has no excuse to not bring one. Its simply the best choice. But hey, you can deliver your meds to the enemy if you want.

I bring the grizzly in my pouch every game, I'll put faster meds or stems in sometimes too. cheap bandages and tourniquets I'll have in my vest, pockets, or backpack. i had like 5 of them saved up at one point and I was using them instead of paying to heal after a raid. I'd chill in the menus for awhile building my next kit, then sometimes forget to heal and load in and spend the first few minutes patching myself up with the grizzly.

I keep grizzly in my stash for offline heals only. I use pro ifak, red splint, cms kit, and yellow stim during raids. And take them out only if I find more expensive loot worth putting in kappa. Grizzly in your secure container is a waste of space - imho

The grizzly is meta for sweaty gamers with how you kind of have to run a salewa over an ifak if you want to bring limbs up to full in one heal. You can also get really meta and keep your health UI up and just cancel the heal when the limb is full health so the downside is kind of gone. It's cheaper than running a salewa, ifak, splint, and hemostat by a large margin if you craft or do the rapist trade.

Main reason I never use them is flexibility. If I find something valuable or something I badly need for hideout I want to be able to remove as little items as possible from my gamma that cost the least amount of money. The Grizly does not allow that.

It's worth noting that of 13.0 the Grizzly and in fact all meds that do multiple kinds of heals can only heal one debuff at a time and ones like the Grizzly no longer heal when being used to clear debuffs making the Grizzly one of the worst meds in the game for healing debuffs now. 5s turns into a hell of a long time when you need to heal multiple heavy bleeds.

When I do tasks in Tarkov, I put a Grizzly, Surv12 and Doc case in Gamma. It saved me more times than I can count. Saved my wallet too.

Just wanted to add: I used this since the bitcoin nerf because gas analysers are really cheap and you can barter a grizzly at therapist for a gas analyser and an ultraviolet lamp which comes out to around 20-25k ... Probably cheaper then running a Salewa and a hemostat

Most of the time I'll throw Grizzly in my gamma with a docs case, and a stack of extra ammo, and then an IFAK\AFAK in my rig/pockets for the "on the run" heals, saving the Grizzly for when I know I'm safer for extended heals. Just saves more time and space than Salewa, different bandages, splints, etc. Also always keep at least 1 in stash for post raid heals cuz Therapist is a scam

Ai2 and army bandage are the most op to use in the game imo. Stop bleeds so fast, without losing points on ur meds. And the cheese ai2 is perf for after u got a bleed and u only have like 5-10 health missing per limb. If enemies are close by u can pop the cheese and heal up without everyone in the building hearing u heal. and it's faster

I always use the grizzly. I found the easiest way to use it is throw it in gamma and cancel animation once you get to green. It does everything that the others do. It is also very easy to find in ultra med, shoreline, even customs.

I've been running this all wipe, never use a rig without the 4 slot, early wipe it's up my bum.

I used to run one in my gamma when i was lower level, the only thing i didn't like was not being able to number key assign it like you can with things in rig.

I always keep a grizzly in my gamma case and its saved my ass so many times whether I run out of meds mid raid or if I need to treat fractures its always been useful for my friends or myself

You can animation cancel heal with the grizzly and it heals so quickly it actually heals faster than the other med kits.

I think grizzlies are great but once you reach thw point where you are always running propital and/or ETG green stim the smaller meds just makes more sense if you always carry one or both of these stims

If you do cancel the animation, it leaves your hands in a busy state when in the inventory, so you cannot start healing another part till the 5 seconds is up, this is a recent fix with the last patch or so

If they made it so grizzly would FULLY heal your pmc (cancel-able of course and would take as much time as needed to refill each limb) if they did that grizzly would be amazing

Car is the best budget item. You can buy them for as cheap as 3000-5000 on flea, and you need 2 (instead of single 23000 Salewa).

They are extremely good, you can cancel the grizzly when limb/thorax is full hp with left mouse btn to heal faster

I mean. Secure containers are pretty good for making sure you keep it. Though it won't go to hot key then

right now in my gamma I run Grizzly CMS docs and dog tag case and the rest are freebies for ammo or things I find. worst case scenario I move my CMS to my rig/backback because those are easy to find and trade for. Ideally I want to move to a Grizzly CMS sicc and I think that would be a very effective way to run it.

The use time may say 3 or 5 second heal time, but I think that's for the "healing" part of the animation. Not including the "putting away my weapon and taking out the med" and the "putting the med away and taking out my gun" animations. It feels like those transitional animations vary based on the med being used, never tested it though.

I agree that it is good on paper but considering survival rates for the avg. Player is around 40-60% that's a lot you're losing on each grizzly

Yes, Grizzly is 200% viable this patch. It's a splint, heavy and light bleed solution and can restore 3-4 bodies worth of HP. I always carry one this patch, saved me countless times.
